Dwarven cities are always implied to be massive and sprawling lorewise.
Dark iron city extends from the very core of Blackrock Mountain (largest mountain in the EK) to its very summit.
Grim Batol is also implied to go much further down than what is seen in-game.
Alpha Ironforge had multiple levels and an element of verticality to it.
I expect Khaz Algar to be a zone-wide city, like Zuldazar. And much like Zuldazar, I expect it to have multiple levels and an element of verticality to it.
I dunno why people act like expansions need to be sold on the highest tier of concept heirarchy.
If the trailer starts playing and the zones look sweet, or it has one vaguely interesting feature, or involves some vaguely interesting figures, the general playerbase isn't going to care that it's "omg just a random island again!!!"
Imagine them giving us a 10.3 nobody asked for and what will definitely not bring a decent amount of players back just to delay your expansion which means $$$ and will bring players back at least to try it out. This would be the dumbest financial decision ever. And imagine them wasting Blizzcon to not announce a new expansion.
MAGA - Make Alliance Great Again
People somehow thinking that wow having the most news to announce at Blizzcon means that they are going to talk about a singular patch for retail and then.. What? Classic+ How does this logic work exactly?
I'm not against the idea of Avaloren being a patch area, but saying they won't announce an expansion is actually insane given what we've heard.
How would people feel if both the binary and the screenshot leaks were real?

I mean, we know based on the 11.0 preorder edition tender rewards that 11.0 pre-order should be out soon and in all likelihood during 10.1.7 (unless they push it a few days to 10.2), so not sure why people would assume no expansion is being announced. Arguably one of the biggest stretches of the hype thread so far and that's saying something.
Those people were as dumb as the people denying the Bolvar leak considering you could blatantly hear that Mengsk was being voiced by Metzen himself here as a placeholder.
They seem incompatible unless "Avaloren" is another 4-5 zone continent, probably scaled back if there's a revamp.

It's a problem everywhere online because online communities are inherently circlejerks since you have to opt-in to participate but it's to the extreme on MMO-C and I really think half the people in here railing against the idea of the expansion just being an expansion or thinking that retail is a graveyard with no one playing because their one personal wishlist feature hasn't been added yet are deluding themselves. Could be wrong sure but the only people I've ever seen with those takes both irl and online are always the kind of people that quit playing 2+ expansions before the statements are made and have created some unachievable standard that WoW has to reach to quantify as anything half way close to good. Basically they're chasing something that will never happen and have convinced themselves that no one could possibly think like they do or have different tastes/expectations.
Opening Ceremony: Announcement of Warcraft 4. Everything that is media related is hidden to make it a surprise.
Warcraft 4
- Re-created style of RTS with new gameplay
- New Warcraft stories, aside from WoW timeline.
- Interactive maps, NPCs, Raid Bosses for resources
- New playable races and heroes
- Reusing a lot of assets from HotS
This will take the hype off of the mid WoW: Stormbreakers expansion for WoW.
