As much as I would love that I just don't see why Blizzard would do that unless they had stories they wanted to tell there. Old players would have no reason to go otherwise aside from a few minutes of "this is neat" factor. And new players are funneled through BFA and get guided away from the old world anyway.

What i have always wondered… considering there where no plans to revamp the old world. They said it would be too much work to integrate these zones as they had to clone literally every asset, npc and quest with all mechanics which also could cause new bugs and so on. But haven't they literally done the exact thing as they made BC classic? I mean technically they rebuilt those zones from scratch for the new game architecture. Couldn't they have used this process and transfer the work to retail?

I think that Khaz Algar is separate from Avaloren. Why? Because their names don't have anything in common at all.

If anything, "Avaloren" makes Me think of Avalon from the Arthurian legends, most certainly not Fantasy Dwarves.

"Khaz Modan" refers to the entire Dwarven subcontinent, but Ironforge is actually much bigger in the lore and even in-game it's implied that it spans through the entire region, even as far as Loch Modan (the little closed-off windows that are above the gates of Ironforge are also found at the borders of Dun Morogh/Loch Modan, implying that it's all an inter-connected underground settlement much larger than just city of Ironforge).

So I expect Khaz Algar to be a very large, subcontinent-wide settlement. It might get a similar treatment to Zuldazar/Dazar'alor, where Zuldazar is the entire city that spans the entire zone, and the urban core and player hub is Dazar'alor.

Might be a huge suramar type zone in the middle with the city stretching almost to the edges of other zones.

Considering all the Avaloren Earthen/Dwarf speculation maybe it's Aye of Azshara.

I think this is why a World Revamp makes so much sense.
In Dragonflight they fixed a bunch of gameplay systems, and generally made the baseline experience of playing the game exciting. Next expansion should then build on that by making an expansion exciting to see unfold, which is the weak point of Dragonflight.
After that it would just be a matter of making good on the promise of incremental improvements, with the occasional big crowd pleaser feature like Housing.

Imo it would be cool to see HD revamp of ek,kal, and Northrend. Unlikely, but having Pandaria being the oldest landmass on Azeroth would be great. Its starting yo shoe its age but its still beautiful and passable for the odd quest that would take us there.


Once they do that the entire game will be modernized.

All new art, updated and modern features etc.

If 11.0 if a revamp, 12.0 can start actually building the game up.

I still cant wrap my head over Earthens. Are basic Dwarves and DI ones not enough? I mean i would be fine with them, if we also got someone players asked for for decades, like Ethereals. But not, its just some rocky dwarves. Classic Blizzard.

There's always been a bit of a following for earthen, though a lot of that is also "Man there's a lot more races set up to be Hordies, huh?", with the Earthen being one of the few where we can go "Oh that'd absolutely fit on Alliance"

Agreed. I think there is a lot of cool things that they could do with their customization.
I just hope they don’t pull the “ope they can’t wear armor” like they did with Dracthyr.

One of their stated longterm goals has been yearly expansions(D4 is targeting this as well). They very clearly want 11.0 to ship in August/September.

They stopped trying to do that after the disaster of WoD.

That hasn't been a wow goal in a decade.

Whatever 11.0 might be, it will include "scarab mounts". The one we had from 6months sub last year (I saw that 1 as main "hint" towards 11.0).

Combined that mount with bunch of new scarab mounts added in 10.2 and also with Wastelander tmog coming to TP.

AND with updated models of AQ dresses.....

If not 11.0, then def 11.2 or 11.3 we might have to come back and deal with something Silithus-related.
