What if they're non-playable and it's just part of the model?

Even then it looks overall sloppy. NPC models get away with a lot of shortcuts in the model making, but this just seems like a weird choice to make.
It would be easier to make an NPC fist weapon that slots over their hand and fully replaces it, rather than make a weird alteration to the model itself.

I suppose. It still comes off as pretty cope heavy. Not to say they're 100% real, but that it's not the greatest reason why they aren't.

Their name was leaked multiple days in advance by Scaleface, but we didn't get any visuals until 9:50 PM ish CET, April 18th from Axaron. So, night before the announcement it appears

You can't tell much from a still image, maybe the fist weapons are in-motion and moving around on the hand, making it look weird in a screenshot.

I suppose. It still comes off as pretty cope heavy. Not to say they're 100% real, but that it's not the greatest reason why they aren't.

I suppose. It's just a case where I image it would look far more like you took one of the hand spike things Hunters got on their det from the vault. Make it much larger, transparent blue, and with a faint blue outline. Slap it on their hand and call it an ice spike.

The one in the picture looks like a lot of work if it's a real model, but very little work if you just slap it on a still image in photoshop.

That is a possibility, though I stand by it being suspicious if something looks like a lot of effort for a real model, while being very easy if it's not.
