It's pretty crazy to see how much someone will decry one of the best looking leaks we've seen because they just don't like the idea of it, but then latch onto something pretty clearly fake because they want so badly to be a certain theme, or because they've made up the worst case scenario for what those screenshots mean (4 zone island, no features, boring story about nothing lore relevant)

Yeah the same thing happened with Dragonflight and Shadowlands.

My comments are "uninteresting" because I like the images, believe in them, want Avaloren to happen, or you just can't stand the fact that they "may" be real and my belief in them bothers you?

yeah but from a marketing perspective you don't want to evoke the feelings people had with the worst expansion.

No returning player that quit in Shadowlands wants to see "Shadow of" and be reminded of how bad the game was.

They want to see a new title and think about what new features and journeys there are to go on, not the ones that made them quit.

Honestly, I haven't even thought of their similarity until now. I hated SL, yet Shadow over Azeroth would get me interested better than "Dragonflight", but I guess it depends on the person

It's more that my dad is a truck driver and he wants to watch, but doesn't have the ability to watch until after the fact

Blizzcon 2023 Prediction:

Hearthstone: The Wilds of Azeroth (Nature inspired. Loa/Old Gods/Emerald Dream)

Diablo: New Paladin class.

Overwatch: We already know it’s a tank hero. I think it’s inspired off Norse and is basically Odyn but with more focus on techno sorcery. They’ll also announce new roadmap for future seasons.

Warcraft:

1. Rumble. Yep. No one cares about this or the “customize your piece” contest they’ll be announcing either.
2. 10.3!! I know I know. Not popular opinion but it’s what I think. We’ll be going to Avaloren after getting Tyr memory. We’ll discover Iridikon is trying to corrupt the fissure in Khaz Algar and we’ll ally with the Earthen and offshoot Vrykul to stop him. We’ll get gryphon dragonriding, a raid, 1 dungeon, and shamans for all races.

3. VERY BAD 11.0 announcement. There will only be a brief feature trailer that mostly celebrates WoW. Player housing, world revamp, void, etc. unfortunately release is 2025.

4. Classic+ will receive a similar vague announcement. It’s going to be an alternate timeline. They will say how excited they are to hear from the players on what they wish to see.

So yeah. That’s what I think will be Blizzcon.
