I think the most odd thing to me is his hand how he's gripping that gem. His pinky and ring finger is firm as if pressed against it, but its not, its just kind of sticking out.

Obviously thats not enough proof to say absolutely "That's AI" but its just weird.

It doesn't seem to have any glaringly obvious AI artifacts, plus it's much higher-resolution than you generally see from AI. Also it matches Blizzard's style pretty well. Compare the link above with this screen grab from the SL cinematic: i imgur com / GbZHAyd.jpg. The lighting, color, etc. are all spot on IMO. Someone help me see why the cinematic link is a fake!
    • The Dwarf has two hair colors (white and dark brown). Looks weird.
    • Doesn't match Warcraft's style. Looks nothing like Warcraft dwarves, who have far more pronounced facial features. Compare this to the dwarves from Vanilla or BfA cinematics.
    • Strange holes on his cheeks (AI does this type of thing a lot).
    • Lack of direction and bad composition. This looks like it's supposed to be an important shot with whatever he's holding, but he's not even centered properly and he's looking away with his mouth closed and not showing any emotion.

Honestly, anything that isn't one's favorite head canon will be a hype killer.
Hype is at its biggest before things are confirmed cause it can be anything anyone imagines and wants to believe.

Yeah, iridikron wanting to get to the heart of Azeroth and take igs power would be within the range of his desires.

To clarify: i don't get any "heretic" vibe from the 4 screenshots. The dwarves seem ice savqges, the ogres are desert savages, where are the heretics able to repel odyn's forces?

I wonder if he's meant to be turning and this is a moment of fear, like there's a creature behind him? But, I also don't really think this is real.

Looks nothing like Dwarves in WoW. Looks like a normal dude.

There is some surface-level context in his use of his Earth element to crush the shit out of the dragon in question (and subsequent ackshually moment), but I can't help but feel this was an insight into what he's up to.
    How did he know?

    LOUDER AND LOUDER
And then the hall gets dark and the cinematic begins.

Honestly best I could see is he's a Death Knight and that is decay on his face, but (and if this is like last year me saying its 100% not something will make it that thing) I just can't see this being a cinematic. It doesn't look like WoW. It doesn't feel like WoW. Even the posturing I could explain but the feel is something I can't.

I mean all we know is there are defenses, not what those defenses are.

He kind of ruined his own credibility when he spouted some nonsense about seeing the cutscene for the end of the 10.2 raid.

I think that's the issue with judging based solely on screenshots. That dwarf may not be one of the 'heretics' that could be one of Odyn's lost forces, some kind of variant of Algarian, a titan construct.

Its really hard to get a general vibe based on just 4 screenshots. We haven't seen a city, dont know what the inhabitants are about, dont know any of the story beats, you know? If you saw a still of Vol'dun you wouldn't think it was about an Empire of Snakemen attempting to enslave everyone they come across and worship their lightning gods.

I think "zones" aside, the features are really important for the longevity/gameplay aspect of WoW. You may love/hate the new "zones" (Avaloren, or otherwise), but who cares if the features aren't "up to par?"

That was my thought too. It looks like the blue dwarf face has been pasted upon the red-haired one. It could also be because it's "during" a transition just like you had Bolvar with blue eyes but fire elsewhere as he was empowering himself and on his way to turn blue.

  18. #48158
i'd honestly rather have a whole year of no content, to get a revamped old world with interconnected zones so you can use dynamic flying and get everywhere without loading screens ( same as transition to the cavern place in dragon isles) than some other new island (avaloren) that was shrouded by some mysterious bullshit cloud, it just adds nothing to the game as a whole.

  19. #48159
I can not say enough how much I am hoping he missaw something. IE it wasn't 10.2 but an expansion trailer or some other cutscene. Because I liked him.

No idea, either the 4 zones are all that is to Avaloren or they really chose the 4 worst pics out there.
