What do you guys hope to see in the cinematic? I'd absolutely love to see the Seat of the Pantheon in its full glory maybe with Aman'thul looking over Azeroth upset and mad. I kinda wish he was a villain, he always looked suspicious to me for whatever reason.

This is a heavy misinterpretation of the Algalon encounter.





The initial decision to reoriginate Azeroth has nothing to do with the "horrors of the universe," it's an allegedly objective look at how things are, disregarding what the people living there actually want. We are essentially ants to him. Things like the faction conflict don't matter at all because we are too insignificant.



But then when he is defeated, he has a passionate monologue about how this entire time, he had been ignoring what the people living there actually wanted. He literally says his calculations--which the Titans consider good enough to exterminate all life on a planet--cannot be considered reliable anymore. It's only after the mortal races fight for their lives against him that he even begins to consider what we want. It has nothing to do with proving our strength

Reorigination is only a sane response if you don't consider the lives of the people on Azeroth relevant, which makes sense for beings on a cosmic level. However, as the player characters, mortals who live on Azezroth and would have everything they ever loved wiped out, this is far more terrifying than any of the horrors you listed. And that makes the Titans' goals and methods incompatible with ours.

Azeroth is explicitly NOT unique, as part of Algalon's breakdown in his defeat dialogue is he realizes that everyone on planets where he did go through with reorigination also likely felt the same as us--they love life. At no point does ability come into it.

Systemic corruption is the horrors of the Universe though. Old Gods, Legion, and Scourge have breached the Titan’s defense and if so, the planet is in jeopardy.
The point of faction conflict was to show that the entire planet was at war. He comes to a world rifle with conflict. All warring ants, while spiders gobble up the remnants.
And his ignorance is key. If we changed his mind via combat, then he had never tasted defeat before. He was so shocked that we could defend ourselves. It made him question his whole perspective.
That is very unique. It was all about ability.

We did go against his wishes directly by interfering with the timeline with Chromie. 'His' timeline is now officially messed with, pretty sure he ain't happy with us.
Wouldn't be surprised if he sets Odyn on us because he can't leave the Seat due to Sargeras and Illidan being there.

If anything, the cosmic war will set off at the end of 11.x, maybe something happens on Avaloren and Turalyon and Yrel team up and become fanatical light losers and the 5th Old God on Avaloren will spring up and we're stuck in the middle, trying to beat both back and regain balance on Azeroth.

I think it was a mistake for Legion to end the Burning Legion so decisively and rob us of such an iconic villain faction. Hopefully, Demathrius will continue the party.

I still feel they fit the bill of good guys. Reorigination was a last-ditch resort. Old Gods and Legion are a threat to all life in the universe. The horrors they could unleash are worse than a rebooted planet.

And Algalon a particularly logic-focused entity backed-off quickly. Id imagine the Titans would be even more understanding.

He questioned his previous actions because up to that point no civilization had challenged him and succeeded. I feel that is a very crucial point. Statistically, mortals were not able to save themselves.

Personally I'd argue that the Titans, which are leagues closer than Algalon to being gods, would actually be more detached from mortal values and much more interested in 'the big picture' aka Ordering the universe and stamping out corruption.

I'd imagine they consider themselves to be the good guys, but what Warcraft lore seems to be gunning for is that in a cosmic war between literal pillars of creation, 'good' and 'bad' are all relative. We the players are very much being positioned to see ourselves as 'good' and anything that might threaten our own mortal interests (including our continued existence...) as a neutral force to be wary of, at best.

I'll miss Avaloren. I've been excited for the other side of Azeroth for a very long time. I don't expect super fantastical things there, but a boots on the ground new land mass might just hit the right spot.

You are right about modern Wow. It is most definitely the way blizzard portrays things now. But, Id argue in old lore they were objectively good. The Red Dragonflight’s blessing from the titans was compassion. Feels like an odd thing to instill if they were so detached from mortals.
