Me and my buddies played BFA at launch for one week with short sleep periods, the whole day every day, and it was very fun.
Then we faced Uldir and BFA m+ and they weren't fun. We left the game and only came back occasionally on patch days to play a month and quit.
We were basically casuals and Azerite armor, Hearth of Azeroth, Essences were literal dogshit systems killing all the fun.
We never liked them and never will and I believe my view is shared by many casual players.
God forbid blizzard from making another of those systems.
DF is the many steps I the right direction, and I think they just need to make narrative and lore good, keeping the gameplay loop the same plus minus some fun features for 11.0 to be the best expansion.

Apparently there is a lot of buzz(more than usual) about the opening ceremony..

Seems like 70-30 we get an actual reveal for the survival game, so that's not surprising.

Schreier said its not getting announced this year and they dont really have any free panel spots for it. When they announced OW there were gaps in the schedule and they had the demo areas covered.

I think they are just very confident in the Warcraft news and obviously Metzen will be on stage.

Plot twist: The new expansion is the survival game. Hardcore rules are now permanently part of the game.

I forgot about that. I was hedging bets on W4, Heroes rebirth, Starcraft, or the Netflix rumor filling the slot after the opening.

The anticipation is surprisingly building for me. I have no idea what to expect this year! SOON.

Interesting you think thats a deliberate gap. Its 45 min they could definitely fit a panel there but its tight...the other panels all have 15 min gaps between them. But that would then mean a 30 min panel that seems rather unlikely.

Last 11 Hours, nothing new. I feel like if DF is starting a chain of "true sequels", as much as I personally hate touting Content Creator stuff, I just had a Bellular Video on my YT recommended that kinda got me thinking just a little bit. We supposedly 'stopped' Nozdormu turning into Murozond with Dawn, but what if all we stopped was basically him turning at the wrong, fuck, maybe even 'right' time? Not even 40 seconds in, there's the whole Murozond line from End Time "You know not what you have done. Aman'thul... What I... have... seen.." - And we're at a point where it's clearly framing the Titans as not as "morally white" as they were portrayed for a while. I guess in a way even back then the Line would've been read more akin to him pleading to Aman'thul as he's dying. What if that isn't the case and they are turning the intent of that death quote into a different direction?

Well, fellow speculation thread nerds, it's a wrap for me tonight as well. See you in the morning for Maximum Hype!

if you weren't hardcore raider/m+ pusher/gladiator level player that have to farm azerite 24/7 to compete - BFA was great. It was a bit buggy at the start of the addon and Azerite gear was kinda uninspiring at the start(there was a lot of feedback on beta about that). I'd say Expeditions failed miserably(locations were beautiful though), Warfronts were okeish but everything else was alright. Corruption was hillarious, i loved it.

I’d have to check the schedule again, but did the first panel after the opening ceremony previously have a 15 min gap?
Maybe the “surprise” reveal goes last at the ceremony, and they stay to transition the panel after a brief interlude?

If not, I think they could do roughly an hour opening ending at 12. Then start a panel at 12:15 - go to 1:15 - clear out for Wow at 1:30.
I just thought the hour and a half gap was strange.

I mean, titans weren't being portrayed as "morally white" since at least Ulduar. It's one of those weird misconceptions that the Titans were some kind of ultimately benevolent force, that would do no harm until very recently.

I kind of blame Legion for that misconception, even though we barely interact with them beyond a desperate team up to stop Argus and Sargeras

In less than 12 hours, we know. Morning from the EU!

im still wondering if the Titans know of what Zovaal was upto or if they even know about that Pantheon. Was this ever adressed?
