Algalon is not a 'private contractor' for the Titans. Where did this idea come from that the constellars are a distinct group from the Titans? It's clear that the Titans created them - they use the Vrykul model, even the one in Zereth Mortis does.

Reinforced by Xal'atath, who notes that Constellars are uniquely resistant to corruption to the extent it was thought impossible--y'know, the thing that Titans and every single titan-made race are absolutely terrible at because they are all stupidly easy to corrupt.

Not sure what your second point is about. Half the constellars we have met are corrupted. And I don't recall that wording in Chronicles.

Not sure how much I'd read into that bracelet re: light v void expansion... the OP shares Varodoc's burning passion for vold elves, and the Blizz dev (a guildie/irl friend?) got them something they obviously vibe with. Might be nothing more, honestly.

A fair point. But they probably knew it will be on twitter. on BlizzCon day. They wouldn't draw attention to a light vs void bracelet if the story is about stone dwarves vs earth dragon. Would they?

I think there is a momentum now, with the 20th anniversary, potential Classic Cataclysm, the timing would be perfect- but excluding that, yes, 12.0 is more likely for a revamp. I'm still hoping though!

You are right about modern Wow. It is most definitely the way blizzard portrays things now. But, Id argue in old lore they were objectively good. The Red Dragonflight’s blessing from the titans was compassion. Feels like an odd thing to instill if they were so detached from mortals.

Personally I prefer the broader perspective; having what are virtually gods be purely benevolent feels lazy and unrealistic to me. There's no way deities would operate on the same moral framework as mortals, that's massively idealised.

Early WoW portrayed them very benevolently because in canon we basically only had the Dwarves as a source of information, and they revere the Titans so of course they seem super.

We're now in much closer proximity, and it makes sense for some of the veneer to fall off. Very 'don't meet your heroes' type stuff, because they're probably not everything you build them up to be. This tracks very closely to IRL mythological pantheons like the Olympians - Zeus for instance was a badass, but also a giant douche.

Ulimately a matter of personal preference in story telling though, so w/e.

He means 1.15 the PTR briefly showed up earlier today and theyve been working on it for a while.

He's not trolling 1.15 is clearly ready for PTR and they are streaming it 5 streamers + 5 devs right before the panel.

That being said hes a hype man so I wouldnt put much in "new version". Its probably just SOM2.
