About to be on work calls for the next couple of hours. Gonna plant my flag because why not.

My hot take is we're not getting a 11.0 announcement today. My basis for this is that it seems so considerably unlikely that NOTHING reputable has leaked that perhaps the most obvious answer to why no leaks is because there's nothing to leak. Instead we get:

- 10.3 will be the big retail announcement (possibly avolorean)
- Some crazy classic+ or other big thing there for classic wow
- But in order to prevent riots they finally formally announce Odyssey (and that's what fills up the "pre-recorded content" on the schedule)

Standard D4 updates, OW, HS, and Rumble.

I realize this is kind of contrary to logic and timing, but fuck it why not take the contrarian approach.

Been fun following all of the thoughts / thinking / hype / World Warcraft / Ochos. I'll see y'all on the other side.

I can see how you arrived here (and I respect the devil's advocate play, like bidding $1 on Price is Right I AM OLD) but I cannot fathom a world in which Mike and Metzen and everyone else hype this as THE MOST WARCRAFT AT BLIZZCON EVER ITS CRAZY!!! return to form Blizzcon in like half a decade and then not reveal 11.0

We're gonna get an 11.0 reveal and we're gonna get an animated TV series reveal (for 2025/2026?) and we're gonna get a new Classic Era SoM (or whatever, Season of Something) and we're gonna get Cata Classic and we're gonna get a WC3 apology do-over and we're gonna get some news about Rumble's future plans and we're gonna get new HotS stuff with a new Warcraft champ (and maybe a Microsoft one).

if there were no wow expac to announce, there wouldn't even be a blizzcon this year, I'm pretty sure

Doubtful it's WoW expansion that would carry this Blizzcon. They have D4 potential expansion, that survival game they announced 2y ago and w/e else MS acquisition can bring.
