Where is the cinematic? Can't find it.

There wasn't a cinematic, just a short cutscene. Version without audio here.

Oh. OK, so this plus an offhand. It's ugly and doesn't really fit the class aesthetic tbh . . .

This just cements Aberrus as a fully distraction type of raid/story, as Iridikron planned.

Sometimes, the light of the moon is a key to other spaces. I've found a place where, for a night or two, the streets curve in unfamiliar ways. If I walk here, I might find insight, or I might be touched by madness.

I mean there are a lot of legendaries that don’t match “class aesthetic”
I’d probably argue most legendaries don’t.

(Like Dragonwrath and Atiesh with anything that’s not a mage. Shadowmourne with anything that’s not a DK. Azzinoth didn’t fit any of the classes at the time.)

Difference is that this Legendary was specifically made for Evokers.

Then again, you might argue that the Fangs of the Father dont really fit either.

I am confused. No actual cinematic, just a cutscene similar to past disappointing cinematics such as N'Zoth's & Jailer's defeat. I hope we get something important with Fyrakk.

    It's all very odd.

Unless they show the proper cinematic at the end of the campaign, seeing as we didn't actually finish it yet.

Move away from the "Raid to find out the conclusion of the story" thing.

I think this means the big cinematic is at the end of the MSQ (killing Fyrakk?) which is a very interesting new precedent for how WoW storylines may go down. The climactic end to a patch may not be in the raid itself.

Kind of similar to Sylvanas's end after Zereth Mortis. Maybe we are moving to a bigger focus on the MSQ in patches, similar to XIV?

Technically the cinematic coming off the heels of the story quests rather than the raid does make some sense. We did have pretty much that with Razsageth only really giving the proper "ending" once we got back to Valdrakken and actually turned in the quest. Wouldnt be surprising if we move the step further and end up with the questline next week giving the cinematic.

Or they're hiding the ending cinematic because it reveals something they don't want us to know yet.

Dumb theory. Hiding how? Blizz didn't realize the raid will be cleared on normal in 1-2h since release? They removed it, only to implement it later? Aberrus is a side story and a distraction from Incarnates. It may very well be the last of Old Gods influence in DF.

We had the real finale after Raz, but the quality of the cinematics was reversed. I think maybe they're doing it on a case by case basis now instead of "lol final boss = cinematic"

Especially when there were some real stinkers like Azshara, N'zoth and Zovaal's cinematics, some of which could definitely have been in-game cutscenes. I think Zovaal's would've been much cooler as an in-game (maybe the flashbacks are just voices?)

No way Sabellian becomes aspect with how he sees others

Ebyssian gives away the fact the other two share the role in the future though

    Emberthal is gonna be Aspect.

Like, they make it so obvious in every single scene she shows up.

There is no pre-rendered cinematic currently still encrypted (outside of the world tree one, but we already know about that one).

I have to imagine we get more furhter into the questline. This is definitely not a raid that takes place at the very end of a patch cycle like The Eternal Palace or Sanctum of Domination. This is more in-line with Castle Nathria, where the raid is just a thing that furthers the plot in the actual relevant story afterwards.

If there truly is no ending cinematic (tree is really just a small tease) then I guess they are just budgeting out the cinematics between patches, especially now that mid-patches are considered true content. We only get the intro and Niffen burning.

Not a win for casual loreheads but maybe better for the game? More in-game cinematics, but less of the expensive ones.

Yeah good point. I suppose I can't say it's disappointing when they are really good at storytelling lately so I guess we just gotta wait for the last chapter
