Oh yes, the one Legion solution to WoD. It is up there in terms of terrible answer with Danuser's explication of what happened to multiple Gul'dans in the Shadowlands when they die.

I wonder if someday they will have the balls to fix all lore disasters. DF could be a chance to do that if they were to mess with the Bronzes and the timelines. Unlikely, though, as they are foreshadowing so much stuff for the future of the game.

Anyway, I am excited for today's cinematic and for what they will announce on Thursday. I really hope that the Archeology revamp is coming in 10.1.5 and that they tie it to old content.

Imagine this: Tanaris is visually upgraded, Gadzetan is the expansion capital. Kezan (with two aboveground and 1 underground zone) and Tel'Abim are added and they are close enough for dragonriding flight to get you there. Then also use Cavern of Times which is right next to the expansion capital for content.

Definitively they should revamp CoT. It has so much potential and they have done so little with It. But I think that they are done with revamping old zones and putting a Bronze representative to change timelines. Its a messy system.

If they revamp Kalimdor I can see Tanaris, Uldum and Ahh'quiraj as one zone, which could be amazing. If they are not making a revamp, maybe they might do something with the Bronzes part of the map in Thaldraszus, although right now I am betting on that weird building where we go to the Primalist Future to be the 10.1.5 dungeon.

HOnestly just drop the Bronze Representative bullshit and just make it a spell on our spellbook. 10 second casting time, can only be cast out of combat in specific areas, do a sands of time blur effect as you move to the different timeline.

I feel that that would be pretty messy too, especially for new players. Old world is beyond saving at this point. It would require too much work to fix phasing issues and different quest givers if another revamp happens.

Make a new continent and call it Azeroth year XX and be done with it.

Unfortunately, this describes a lot of what they do. They do this with systems too - come up with a system, once they finally get it working as intended they abandon it.

    Azeroth Beyond?

A new continent, as in new instance definitely makes sense, and there are ways to make it "seamless" - Bronze NPCs to take you between versions, only this time it's rather a teleport. Both trigger a loading screen anyway.

If like in the example above only the far south of Kalimdor is remade (at first) then even the transition into the northern, older neighbors could be made seamless, loading in Thousand Needles and Feralas as you approach. Alternatively, show basic geometry for the neighbors, but there's effectively a portal as you cross the zone boundaries, triggering another loading screen.
But your duty to Azeroth is not yet complete. More is demanded of you... a price the living cannot pay.

Btw while I know people disliked WoD to a varying degree, if timey whimey craps leads us to some part of AU Azeroth I would not mind it at all. WoD had fantastic world building. I would e.g. love to see a Seven Kingdoms AU so we could see those cultures (plus Amani and QUel'thalas)

What can be tied to the white color in Dragonflight ?

Winding Slitherdrake and white scales have been datamined back in the days, now that the Slitherdrake is available, white scales are still missing.

    Any guesses ?

I would love to return to WoD's Draenor. Best continent and best questing experience to date in WoW IMO. But it is highly unlikely, they have opened many future plots but none of them lead us to Draenor, except for Yrel's Light Army invasion, which will happen at some point. At best that would give us a patch in WoD's Draenor, similar to Argus.

I made a post related to this topic that I plan to revive as soon as Tyr's questline is expanded:

    https://www.mmo-champion.com/threads...y-Tyr-SPOILERS

Basically, I think that Tyr infused proto-dragons with all the cosmic forces of the universe. White dragons could be Light infused Proto-Dragons.

Albinism occurs in many species (it even happens in plants), why not dragons?

I want the next Dragonflight to be the Violet Dragonflight, representing the Void and helping the Black Dragonflight to resist it.

Because that would be an utterly boring addition. It's "hidden" for a reason. They're meant to be revealed. To make an impact. Odds are, that means they're going to have some sort of narrative significance equal to all the other colours available. Just throwing in "and some dragons were albino!" is not a satisfying reveal. And if it was that mundane, why stop at white? Where's brown, purple, orange, and pink? The answer is simple: all the colours we have access to already have narrative significance.

I saw the other day someone point out that some of the promo pictures for this patch had a white dragonriding mount in it, so maybe we'll get it at some point now?

Also still amused at people thinking Fyrakk's lasting beyond this patch.

Eh, i don't think it was that big a deal. The main problem from it arose from that weird idea people got that there can't be alternates of Demons because of no reason whatsoever. Otherwise, it didn't change anything. The Shadowlands soul combining was much dumber. They had already established them as being infinite. They could just have left the souls seperate. That was an attempt to solve a problem that never existed to begin with.

They just wanted to make the Legion threat feel more "legitimate" during the waning days of WoD and completely shot themselves in the foot with their roughshod explanation of why we should care about this Archimonde. But I do think we're getting off topic, dwelling on past decisions. This thread is about the future. And I do hope that a poor experience with a time travel adjacent plot in WoD doesn't cause them to through out the baby with the bathwater and relegate the domain of time travel plots to silly Chromie stuff. Time travel is fantastic when done well with a consistent in-universe structure to it.

It's not unreasonable to think he will, since he is a core part of the new outdoor content this patch.

That's a fair point, but the last step of the campaign is "A Flame, Extinguished," and is set after Aberrus, plot-wise. Fyrakk's the fire incarnate, flame, so...seems that way to me. Especially as part of the campaign is itself about Fyrakk and whatnot.

I'm ready to eat crow though.

Fyrakk isn't a boss in the Aberrus raid, so unless he's killed in open-world content it seems likely he will last beyond this patch. He seems a bit too powerful as an Incarnate to go down as part of an open-world quest, IMO; but it wouldn't be the first time that's happened.
"We're more of the love, blood, and rhetoric school. Well, we can do you blood and love without the rhetoric, and we can do you blood and rhetoric without the love, and we can do you all three concurrent or consecutive. But we can't give you love and rhetoric without the blood. Blood is compulsory. They're all blood, you see." ― Tom Stoppard, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead

It would be really weird to kill him when the assaults are meant to be around for a while. It'd be like killing Raszageth in the raid and then having her show up in every primal storm event.
