I'll admit super nervous, especially if it leads to WoW2 (though with 3-6 years until then alot could change!) but super excited. The underground zone pics don't even look underground so very very excited.

Man, OK, this is definitely a lot more than "here's an island with 4-5 zones". Lots to take in.

First I do think telling us about 3 expansion in advance kinda acts as spoilers. We know all that is coming for the next 5-ish years now. Not that bad a thing to be honest but still surprising, I thought they'd kept the 3rd one a secret for a second.

Yearly expansions, or maybe 1.5 years long expansions, could be great or could be ways for them to get more box price money, depending on how content cadence goes. I'm a bit worried but not overly so. Dragonflight had a steady stream of things to do after all.

War Within looks fine tho. I like the zone with the big crystal, it kinda reminds me of the Erdtree in Elden Ring. And Nerubians fighting Arathi humans is so random that I kinda dig it. Story looks intriguing even if I figure the end state will be Alleria going cray-cray and going for the Sunwell. I'm curious how they will connect the zones together, will we be able to access them from each other or is it a Cataclysm/Shadowlands situation with portals every which way? I hope not the latter.

Feature set a bit sparse but what's there is promising. Delves sound like Torghast, not gonna lie, but hopefully they learned from their errors. Warbands as a concept is long overdue but welcome nevertheless. Epic talents are what I'm excited for, if they implement this right it's a pet hope of mine come true. Earthern allied race is eeeh, I like dwarves and all but still not my favorite kind of dwarf.

I think the best thing is to give us perspective of the way the things will be progressing in the near future, and how the actions will unfold.

Can we talk about the cinematic? Azeroth specifically calling out to anduin seems significant. When he said he had no more light, I felt that. Hope he finds it again

I really hope we get a "Healer Shadow Priest" option.

I love healing, but I hate how Holy Priest clashes so much thematically with a Void elf.

Maybe they can expand on Vampiric Embrace (which was originally a Shadow Priest-only talent)?

Could be as much content as DF, but I have a feeling we will get 1 less major patch if they want to pump them out fast. We will see.

Im somewhere between whelmed and hyped. I need to see the deep dive before I commit to being fully hyped.

I think all expacs will have SL model, but last 19-20 months and of course with regular patches like DF. SL had drought post 9.0 and post 9.1, but Season 3 lasted 5.5 month and fated season 12 weeks, I expect same post 10.2.

Annual expansion would cost us more of course, but same with Blizzard, they would have to make fresh continent every 12 months. Imo they announced saga because main problem with DF is that if feels like side story, not like important events for Warcraft.

I agree. Annual expansions are not the best idea, but I could get behind an ~18 month cycle. 2 year expansions often feel worn out towards the end.

This is what I’m clinging to because this is the first expansion reveal that I’ve been extremely underwhelmed by. Usually I have some level of hype even for the most tame of premises like DF but so far what I’ve seen presented so far to me is just extremely lame.

I’m hoping the deep dive can pull me back.

I think if you're at the point where Metzen announcing basically the end of WoW and multiple expansions at once seems lame then you're way too irony poisoned for anything to ever hype you up.

The only thing I'm actually disappointed about is the new direction of logos! They feel more simplistic than even the patch logos. I hope in the future, on release maybe, they give full detailed logos for each expansion!

The War Within page says that each spec gets two self-contained hero talent trees, so it sounds kinda like they'd be unique to each, at least to me.

Ah, I didn't see that. That how I would read that as well. The two that we've seen really seem flavored towards the balance class fantasy.

I still think that from what Sargeras was aiming, the world soul is already more or less on the corruption path, and almost no hope left for the soul to be saved

Honestly I don't think they're gonna revamp WoW.

I think "revamp" is going to end up being a reboot/sequel. I honestly think they're gonna EQ2 us once Last Titan is over.

If they did that, would players stuff carry over or not? If not I think they lose a ton of players.
