The War Within 11.X Patches & World Soul Saga Speculation Thread

For them to go ahead and announce 3 expansion at once kind of makes me feel like they're going to have fewer patches and jumping from one expansion to the next more often.

I think 1.5 year per expansion, two patches each. Roughly 5 months per season, final Fated season of 1-2 months, next xpack then drops. If patch content is solid enough, like in Dragonflight, it is a model I do not mind. Some of its X.5 patches were easily as content heavy as previous X.1 or X.2 patches of old expansions anyway.

If it's one expansion per year then yeah that means likely one major patch per expansion and more to shell on box prices which I wouldn't be a fan of, even if all those expansions come with the launch content of an usual one. But I'm not sure Blizzard would be able to make 8 dungeons, 4 proper zones, a full raids, plus all the usual expected expansion features and changes in a single year. And if War Within is any indication, in terms of launch content at least these aren't mini expansions but full fledged ones.

Honestly this super short non actiony cinematic of these absolutely amazing models makes me think this will be like in BfA with a series of cinematics.

It was a way better cinematic this go. Much better than DF imo. The models looked like the quality Diablo 4 received.

Giant dwarves killed all my fucking interest in this expansion, just like shitcthyr killed my interest in dragonflight, i know its silly, but its like shit on by shoes, i have to clean it, i can't play an expansion where i will not enjoy the new things.

I guess wow just will never be like it was, no more one race for each faction, you just get the same race - dwarf - again for both and call a day, "but they are human size now" fuck off. I can't wrap my head that these fuckers had ogres and vrykuls(or a titan construct vrykul) sitting there and chose "yep giant dwarves".

Not to mention that another wamen is going to be the expansion queen, The knife is the new sylvanus, she was cringe as a priest weapon and will be again. And fucking thrall yay, i can't wait for his crippling depression history again.

For the record, to me personally, whilst the zones look lovely and Xal looks cool, I think what I’ve seen so far looks very, very underwhelming. I’m not a fan at all and this is the first time I’ve ever felt like this upon an expansion reveal.

I’m happy to be proven wrong when I do play it around launch time as that’s always going to be fun regardless but so far I am not impressed, and as a huge fan of this game, the “bad” expansions included like WoD and BfA, that’s a worrying sign for me. I was so hyped going into this Blizzcon with all the theories and expectations and this has just deflated me. This really does feel like filler because right now I’m more excited for Midnight and The Last Titan and just wish we could skip straight to that and have Xal’atath and the Nerubians as 10.3 patch content instead.

The early access feature is just the cherry on top.

I mean, Ididikron himself said hes waiting for Xal to do her thing, so the titans come back to Azeroth.
We know Xal is going to do "her thing" in 11.0, and we know the titans are going to come back in 13.0, sooo...seems like 13.0 is when hes going to come back as well.

Would not be surprised if the titans come back some time, even early on during 12. Their whole everything, including sargeras has been to protect azeroths soul from the void, impossible to believe they'll just wait to see if we can do it ourselves. Hell, I half expect Illidan and Sargeras leading the burning legion to help us out too.

Man, the Thrall and Anduin scene when Anduin pulls his blade reminds me so much of Anakin and Obi-Wan, as Anakin is burning on Mustafar. And a few conversations between Anduin and Padmé.

Regarding the War Within, I have so many doubts. Good QoL changes, but Delves are seasonal? With seasonal rewards that you cannot get after the season is done like PVP? Hope that that is not the case.

I do not have a problem with an Underground continent but meh, I do not think that the zones would look very interesting, save for the Nerubian one.

Earthen allied race? I mean cool, but did someone asked for this?

Hero talents could be cool, we will see.

Ahhhh so many doubts. Right now I am leaning closer to leave the game, though. It seems that they want to charge us more money for less content.

I'm fine with seasonal rewards.

I thought Anduin looked more closer to his mid 30s in the trailer, if not even Varian's age. He looks older than mid 20s.

They could indeed do another time skip I suppose; but canonically he can't be more than late 20s if they carry on right after Dragonflight continuity wise

Also, some people look pretty old for their age, especially when they've been actively partaking in wars from as young as Anduin has
