So now that we know what the next two expansions are going to be about, does this mean future BlizzCon seasons won't actually have any leaks?

I think speculation will endure, of course, but leak season is indeed going to be dead until 14.0 (if that even happens, might be WoW 2 by then).

Gorschalach is simply the result of the guy in charge of thinking up names for Agrammars loot table not having read Chronicle. Their blades always had a separate origin. Also both the blades shattered when they dueled. That's why Agrammars weapon Taeschalach is half fire. Only one half of the original weapon of Aggramar, Taeschalach was still intact, the rest is made of fire magic. It doesn't seem like the Sword in Silithus has been similarly repaired from severe arcane and fel damage, so it might not even been the weapon originally wielded by Sargeras. Perhaps he crafted it much later when his burning crusade was already long underway

Wonder if the sword is...literally just Gorschlach. The fusion thing being of lore past. Or, yeah, it doesn't ultimately matter.

Either way, it's such a minor element to the point of the post which was "Guys, it's obviously Azeroth, c'mon. Get a white board. Even if you don't know for sure, she's gotta be in the top 3."

Hmm.

One potential point of mild criticism I might have against Blizzard would be the choice of the Earthen as an Allied Race. They look cool and all, but they're really just earthy, crystallised dwarves.

Don't dwarf players prefer proper dwarves?

It's a bit like the Dracthyr situation. Did dragon players really want gecko lizards, or did they really want drakonids?

Same way dracthyr goes against what make dragons unique, being big, buffy menacing reptiles, making a human sized dwarf removes the uniqueness the dwarf is suppose to have, which is being a smaller race.

and i ask, why, why go for this? there is so many other races that could fit in an underground expansion, hell, they could have grabbed the vrykul and make their model into the earthen, instead of dwarf, at least you would have something unique.

There were still leaks, even when everyone was pretty much certain of whatever the next theme and location would be.
Still plenty of opportunity to leak what ARs, what dungeons, new features, plot developments, etc.

There will still be tons of stuff Blizz hides close to the chest each year. We're gonna have patch zones, new zones, allied races, new races, villain bat storylines, probably some kind of "we've split the market three ways with Classic, C+, and retail oh no", etc etc. So much to Bingo Card and Spreadsheet, my friend!

For sure they will. The scope will just shift from "what's the expansion" to "what's in the expansion".

Let's be honest, this is just a small step above the Shadowlands leak cycle. In this case we just have the name, and the main location. As opposed to SL where we assumed the name was Shadowlands, and that the Shadowlands would be a key location.

Nopes they will stay the same, but instead of focusing in "leaking lore", most of them will be "leaking" features.
