I think if you're at the point where Metzen announcing basically the end of WoW and multiple expansions at once seems lame then you're way too irony poisoned for anything to ever hype you up.

I think that’s an extremely big assumption to make just because someone isn’t a fan of what has been presented so far. Not everyone has to be hyped to the extreme over the new shiny reveal. Everyone’s entitled to their opinion and we all have different things we’d be excited for and underwhelmed for.

There’s several things I’d have been excited for, as I’ve detailed in this thread several times. What seems to be a half baked underground expansion devoid of well known names and underground locations in the lore, no new class, and an allied race that no one asked for is not something I would get excited for. If you do - more power to you and I wouldn’t tell you that you’re wrong for it.

The art direction is nice and I like the idea of “class skins” but that’s as far as my enthusiasm goes.

It’s not a very appealing concept to me in the slightest whatsoever at the moment. But to say I’m too irony poisoned to be hyped for anything Warcraft related is just an obnoxious point to make.

Doesnt mean much imo. Raids will still launch a week after so you wont really get that far ahead, but yeah. I dont like it either.

It's already segmented off from the rest of Eastern Kingdoms by a loading screen so yeah they can just expand its scale by a factor of 2 and make ZA an actual zone. Boom, 4 zones easy.

I expect that they'll be getting little zones revamped while the expansion is running

I know it's not really fair to say this this early, but at this point I prefer the more stylized look of the nerubian dungeons/locations from WotLK to the new Azj-Kahet stuff. It kinda looks really washed out.

Hallowfall is probably the most creative zone/culture they've made in a long time.

But yeah Revendreth was already among the best zones they've made.

Honestly I expect WoW to enter maintenance mode afterwards.

Even the most profitable cashcow might benefit from going out with some dignity. And it allows them to reinvent WoW after.

No. I don't expect to ever get another revamp. I do expect WoW 2 after The Last Titan though.

Looking at the zones, it looks like the order will be based on depth.

It's not gonna expand, you can see what they're doing in War Within, Cata style.

So it'll be Quel'thalas revamp + Probably underwater zone with Azshara's void forces offshore + K'aresh + something else.

I have a prediction.

Warbands will have a camp that is a stand in for player housing, and it becomes the login screen for everyone.

It DOES become a login screen, we have that in the press kit pictures

It's actually what I wanted Nya'lotha to be before the reveal it was just a raid. A Black Empire city where we worked with some of them.

I hope that's the case here and it's not just like the Maw.

Ny'alotha was completely squandered, yes. Disappointing. They could've at least made part of it an outdoor zone.
