I wonder how his encounter will work.

My guess would be Galakrond summoning large amounts of undead dragons, as well as breathing fire at us.

At this rate I'd be thankful to even get one.

Like I can understand why warlocks would suddenly be joining in troves I guess? No more burning legion to serve so they instead get offered to join the Alliance or Horde? But then who would trust them? I guess you gotta wave that last part and just pretend it's all ok and forgiven.

My guess would be Blizzard is testing the waters on removing class restrictions completely, starting with a class that doesn't require additional assets like Shaman or Druid.

Galakrond seems to be alive in this screenshot:


So, maybe he'll just be a boss mechanic in Iridikrons encounter.

Now THAT is interesting. Perhaps Iridikron is literally reviving him during his encounter - we are trying to kill him, while he is somehow reviving him. Fight ends with Galakrond being reborn and Iridikron either being defeated or retreating.

He could be dead there, but just newly dead.

Though, it would be cool to see his eyes moving throughout the Iridikron fight.

I thought the same but comparing to some other pictures (this one for example) the eyes look actually dead whereas in the other picture there are pupils and look more "alive".

Kinda shocked Zovaal didn't try anything with its bones, primarily with the Mawsworn.

They definitely considered it but probably pulled the plug on the idea.

Either it blinks, or maybe the disc thing is making him alive and we turn it off before the fight? That other pic looks like purple void magic.

I don't think he's gonna die.
If he's actually a boss, then his later appearance will be significantly different.

And yep, he's definitely alive in that first image.

And it's not like the lighting changes drastically between the 2 shots to make a difference.

I know at Blizzcon they were saying the Primalists worshipped Galakrond, but kind of walked that back in Launch where I don't think he's really mentioned. Maybe this is the reveal about that?

So chances are we are either seeing his dying moments during the fight, or him being revived during the fight.

With Chromie being there, it's more likely we just end up in a point in time where he's alive, and then travel forward in time after his death.
Rather than anyone being rezzed or otherwise.

I just hope that happens mid encounter and not before it, so we can experience Gali in all his necro-intestinal glory at least for a bit.

I would imagine that Iridikron might be more pragmatic regarding Galakrond. The others I imagine worship Galakrond in the sense that he is the "perfect" dragon. Free from the Titans, and supremely powerful.

This being right after the fight between him and the aspects would be interesting. Plenty of opportunities for interesting stuff in the background.
