It's a shame I used to be such a big fan of Asmons, but not he straight up knows nothing about the game and is so out of things to complain about that he just makes shit up, anything to paint the current game as bad as that is what drives engagement, I see this on his sub all the time, people talking about how trash ruins raids, complicated systems *cant name any in DF* and "too much feelings" are why modern WoW sucks

I mean, he just parrots what his audience wants to hear: retail bad, classic good. He doesn't have to inform himself about anything.

That's it. I'm going into this Deep Dive with super low expectations, to avoid disappointment. Maybe we'll get to see Ion's handsome face and hear of a few more Hero Talents, but not much more. Oh well. Good thing I play all Blizzard games on and off.

What I will say is that they really need to bring the smaller panels back for future BlizzCons. Having just a single thing or two for your favourite game makes BlizzCon feel really, really small.

I loved having personalities like Michelle Morrow host guests in a sofa in-between panels, and being able to swap channels between different cool things whenever I felt like it.
The voice acting panel, seeing a WoW zone get made, or even something as trivial as a community-voted mount. Bring all of that back, that's what made BlizzCon feel magical for two days.

We will have a Fated season so War Within will release November 2024.

I'm fairly comfortable saying we will likely see this. Maybe Fated Season would be 6 rotations, maybe prelaunch will be 2 weeks instead of 3 so give or take 2-3 weeks but expect WW to launch in September 2024

They did hint at working on AI-based groups.
Brann in delves is a test for a larger feature.

Good clarification on that comment about faster content too- he was apparently just talking about the consistent smaller patches we've already been getting in Dragonflight, so there won't be big gaps in the story. I guess that must have been meant for the potential returning players more than those of us who have already been seeing it in practice.

Knowing that, I'd expect these expansions to have a similar length to Dragonflight.

A little conspiracy theory - the Algarian Stormrider was named that, and added early to the files, in order to make us believe that the next expac is Avaloren. "Storm" in Stormrider, especially in the context of Avaloren, made us all think only of the other side of Azeroth. And so far, there doesn't seem to be a really good reason why the Stormrider is storm related. If anything, it seems to be more generally Elements related, with other cutomizations (like fire) too.

I'll be honest, I may be on Teriz's Undermine train for this one. Undermine would be a really interesting questing hub/megadungeon since we're already underground.

I thought the Royal Nerubian Caspa grey item was a big nothing burger in terms of expansion hints, but look at what we have now; if that was the case, the Undermine Clam Chowder from the Tuskarr feast can't be shrugged off so easily. If we're underground, we may as well visit, or have some reason for story inclusion.

Always like the art panels just because they go into more detail on the look and feel. This Blizzcon certainly feels like it is a complete ripoff for people going in person

To be honest once the goblins found out about this area I could see them trying to knock their way through if it was nearish to udnermine

im super excited about their approach to outdoor / solo content. Something a lot of people may have missed was that they announced a new great vault row for outdoor activities (can be filled out with delves, world bosses, public events, etc). I think it's sick that if youre a solo player you can have seasonal endgame content that doesn't involve pugging. Looking forward to hearing more about it

Yeah so far it does seem like it was a red herring.

That said, it's not impossible that Avaloren is like... gone or something, after the Ordering of Azeroth (Kalimdor). Maybe Odyn destroyed it, or perhaps it got locked in time or something. There might not be another side of Azeroth today. Hoping I'm wrong though!

Adding in places for future expansions seems a sensible move. I think they should just create a load of such places and drop books now and then just to flesh out the world, even if they've no intention of ever using them. Helps keeps people guessing about where we're going.

I think that row is specifically for Delves, no? Delves are found within the zones in outside content as far as I'm aware.

What things do you guys think they will add to Dragonflight to stretch it out? Here's what's currently in the game that they could use:
-Bakar (Centaur Dog) Mounts (encrypted but included within 10.2)
-Season 4 recolor for glad mount
-Blue tint for Nelf Heritage

Here's some stuff that I think is likely:
-Reclamation of Gilneas scenario
-Amirdrassil world quests or some kind of storyline in the final tree
-Vakthros used for something
-heritage quests for other races
-additional Dracthyr classes
-Shamans for all through the Redeemed Primalists/Vyranoth
-Tuskarr AR??
-Broken AR/barber shop??
-Nelf Druid of the Flame barbershop option??

Fated raids are obvious so not including that.
