The War Within 11.X Patches & World Soul Saga Speculation Thread

Does anyone REALLY want another major patch and zone in Dragonflight?

I mean, we aren't getting it, they have said so, so it doesn't really matter what people want. I struggle very hard to see how they are going to retain retail subs while we wait for The War Within until fall next year.

either that, or all the assets they're developing throughout those three expacs are for a revamp in 14.0.
They can call it a soft reboot, or call it WoW 2 but still use the main engine of WoW and just updated everything (players wouldn't lose their progression this way)

We'll see! I'm not thinking about it too much atm to be honest cause I'm really excited about this World Soul saga thing, it's got potential

I mean I'm sure they would want to bring WoW to X-box eventually. Dunno if that needs an engine change or not.
At any rate we know that these three expansion will be more tightly connected than usual. And I think that will help the narrative. The new system seem nice as well.
I do think all of this is a step in the right direction.

I mentioned it earlier that it is also only level 13. New class options and the level as normal for Dracthyr? (It was going fast at that point so folks probably missed my post about it)

Their size makes them awkward for melee classes, but I can see them being Priests, Mages, Warlocks & Druids (because of the shapeshifting)

I think Xal'atath will survive TWW and most likely be a final raid boss in Midnight (if not final expac boss)

I think they will get all classes except DH/DK, Paladin and maybe Druid, but they may go hard and give them unique druid forms because of their connection to the Dream.

They certainly seem more caster orientated. Other Dragonkin seemed more of the muscle type.

Difference is, when Legion was announced we had a number of tangible, awesome, features to look forward to. With Worldsoul Saga, a lot of those features are seemingly reserved for 12.0 or 13.0, leaving us with a fairly standard expansion in 11.0, content wise.

Admittedly I might be blinded by the increasing possibility I will be able to Transmog all armor, but still.

Well there aren't any retail subs anymore. There is one sub for the three games

We have Delves, War Bands and Heroic Talents. Those are all nice. And unlike saaaaay Artifact Weapons, these will stick around.

Legion had a crap ton of features.

On top of the culmination of an epic story with Illidan, and a beautiful world in the Broken Isles, we got Artifacts, Class Halls, and a bunch more.

I'm very curious to what the patch zone will be in TWW unless it doesn't exist. Maybe a light focused raid?

Could explain why the Arathi models aren't done yet.

I see Alleria going crazy and leading us to Midnight, Sylvanas coming back to save her sister and then Illidan coming in the Last Titan. Since they are saying all the elves, I expect Malf to come in Midnight as well.

Yeah! I expect we will see Azshara and the Naga play a huge roll here as well.

I'm sure Azeroth will most likely take on human form, like Aviana Sunwell. Great chance of romance between Azeroth and Anduin. Then he will become a real Manduin if he jumps to Azeroth.
