I think they do because the dragonriding cup shows us how small the old world is in comparison to new zones. I fully expect 12.0 to be Quel'thalas, 12.1 to be Lordaeron. 12.2 to be Stranglethorn & 12.3 to be Khaz Modan & Elwynn.

Blizzard can't consistently get to .3 patches anymore. WoD only had 1 patch (no, the selfie camera patch doesn't count). BFA's .3 patch zone was cut. Shadowlands only had 2 patches and Korthia was only a fraction of a zone, and Dragonflight won't have a 10.3 patch.

I did hope they'd have something in the works; either improvements for Reforged or some mobile game for Starcraft

I really would like the idea if blizzard would stop gating rewarding gameplay for premade groups only. But there simply is no past that proves that.

And yet, the extremely limited amount of information they shared today about Delves indicates this is already on their radar. I choose to look at the glass as half full instead of half empty. Just saying.

Wild guess ahead of time: the race for Midnight will be "Sunwell Humans" similar to Anveena.

They won't be doing another raid after 10.2, but I could see a world in which a 10.3 patch featured new content and even a new zone, but gave us instead a season of fated version of the other 3 raids.

There has never been a patch that introduced a new zone that didn't also introduce a new raid. If there is no new raid, then there is certainly going to be no new zone either.

I'm pretty disappointed with the cinematic again (quality of it aside). Was hoping to see more characters tbh, the second trailer with Alleria would have been a better cinematic imo. We've already seen Thrall and Anduin in cinematics so many times, adding new characters would have been good imo but it is what it is.

Other than that I'm very hyped. Very excited to have Xalatath back!

It is weird really. It makes it sound like Thrall and Anduin are unaware of the World Soul and the fact that the planet is literally alive.

Well, people also thought this when the new crafting system was implemented in Dragonflight. While i liked Dragonflight, the crafting system was still limited to materials from raids and mythic+ just to craft as powerful gear. It was as much gated as any other component before that could threaten the reward structure for premade groups.

I don't disagree. I personally would love to see the ability for even an open world player to get mythic raid-level gear after a CONSIDERABLE amount of grinding and collection and other stuff. You can do that in many other games: ESO, Guild Wars 2, SWTOR, even FFXIV. It hurts no one, because the gear I wear has nothing to do with any of you; the same is true for all of you, too.

But... baby steps here. We've been waiting for account-wide reputation and an account-level bank for 20 years, and we finally just got it in The War Within.

And they aren't going to give us a patch every 2 months in 2023 and abandon us for the next 6-9 months after 10.2 drops, too.

Like I said above: this is a new era of Blizzard. Things are being done that they've never done before. So anyone who can say "there will never be a major patch without a raid again" has no idea what they're talking about.

Its so much like FFXIV Metzen should be embarrassed. I thought he was doing a bit when that Realm Reborn-ass font showed up.

No, LOL. Iridikron's lair is revealed to be in Northrend in the new book, and they just revealed the third expansion will be in Northrend. Also, Iridikron said he'll be back when the Titans come back... which is the third expansion.

WOTS was foreshadowing The Last Titan days ahead of the expansion reveals.
