I found it finally. So weird! We have this neat new thing that was well received. Let’s drop it immediately.
Granted, I “guess” they weren’t working on anything else support related yet because they didn’t know but that’s still really off putting.
I’m also surprised it didn’t make it into mmos summary. That’s a pretty big thing to leave out. As well as there currently being no plans for new race class combos and not bringing shaman tank/other class options beyond classic+

No, the problem is it fills a DPS slot. It offers the DPS of a damage dealer and powerful support. No other DPS can compete with that. If there are more support specs, what's preventing you from taking 3 support specs and no DPS ones? Literally closing the door to most specs in the game.
It's not a simple problem at all. I don't think more support specs will help. Might make it worse.
I too think the best idea is to throw the concept away. There isn't an easy solution to this.

Pretty much all of these things, yeah. I like these ideas and would want answers. That Warband screenshot has me asking questions considering there's what looks to be a dracthyr rogue or something. If they don't talk about new class / race combos for WW, I'd assume that maybe they are coming with 10.2.5 and 10.2.7.
I wasnt able to follow all the news after the announcement, but I wish they show a roadmap. In general, I think it is a good practice for video games.
Still in shock they didn't take the Tuskarr allied race free W with pre-order. (may still come in a dragonflight patch)
Mostly I'm gutted on no earthwarden shamans. + dks for earthen feels very weird. I'm hoping we get a new road map for the coming year.
One positive thing here I'd suggest people bare in mind..
Blizzard are making big changes.
With Augvoker coming mid patch, there's a chance now every major patch we could get new things. For example, if shaman tanks are liked in classic, there's a chance they'll make another new spec for say patch 11.1 or something.
I don't feel we have to only expect new things at reveals anymore. Which in a sense is liberating, it's new, and we're cautious. But blizzard are seeing the benefits of bigger changes mid expansion. (finally)
I have so many friends who literally buy the expansion play for a month then quit till the next one. Larger more frequent changes throughout an expansion cycle is absolutely the right thing to do.
Transmogs unlocking for all your classes no matter what you play (even if restricted to warbands) is huge. It's 10 years late, but appreciated. This will do so much for new players. The new generation doesn't want to level 4 different classes then farm 4 different dificulties for 4 months to maybe get an armour set if the individual pieces drop on the right character.
All in all I'm reassured by the Metzen speech. Yes, they need to prove it (ima play anyway) but I want my friends to stay in wow after that first month of the expansion. Despite enjoying df overall, there's been a sense of dread about what's coming next. I'm exited for 3 more expansions now. When tft releases I guess I can be anxious again.

In M+, sure, that's a fact at this point, at least for S2. But the WHOLE competitive scene? You high? In Raid, it's just another DPS who's performance is based on the other people in the raid and how you distribute your buffs. It's highly min/maxable as well, which is never bad for high end play. Oh no, you might want 4 of them for the most optimal comp or smth like that. How could this ever happen, it was only supposed to happen to Warlocks and Boomkins on their most faceroll tiers ever play--- oh wait.
They wouldn't be the first and they won't be the last, them being a new role didn't suddenly change that or undo the previous examples where this was also the case with existing classes of an existing role that our only Support happens to be a part of, because while Support is it's spec focus, it's still just.. a DPS Spec at the end of the day. Doesn't even ruin parsing necessarily either, if we choose to ignore how fucking cringe and irrelevant parses are in a functional team, because you are still weighted as if you weren't buffed.
I hope they add facial hair options to every single race and body type eventually. Having more ways to customize your character is always better. The fact that it triggers "those" people is just an added bonus
I like how for months we've all been disputing if Iridikron would outlast DF, or if he'd die in 11.0. Now he's more than likely here till 13.0 so he can punch Aman'thul in the face.

Can't believe dwarf females get beards before trolls! I just realised. Gimme troll beards plz. (I am happy about dwarf female beards before anybody starts)
Can we expect news about new races/classes combinations?
Yeah, the Titan revelations will be the forefront of the expansion's start, but then Iridikron begins unraveling whatever he has planned and forces the Titans and us (likely after Aman'thul is dealt with) to put the conflict aside and save the World Soul.
With the recent hints that Azeroth is the epicenter of every Cosmic Force/the Universe, Iridikron trying to destroy it to see the definitive end of Order/the Titans is fitting.

I haven't seen any gameplay footage of the new expansion. Is this the first time you can't play it at a Blizzcon?
Augmentation is neutered in Raids because Demo and UH got nerfed. It'll be there, but it's not the 100% safe pick.
It's above average, but not busted. The only reason it's busted in M+ is because you buff the Tank/Healer
