I suppose that wouldn't be the end of the world. It's true that Blademasters are quite a bit closer to monks than warriors as they are in WoW. I just wish they would make it so monks were a bit less reliant on their connection to the Celestials.
I guess it would be BM+WW. IIRC Blademasters have wild swinging similar to the "drunken fist" theme but with giant swords.
So with the recent announcements, is it safe to say leak season is going to be gone for a long time? now that we know the names of the expansions and their themes does that mean leak season is officially dead?
I mean what else is there for people to leak that would even seem remotely plausible for the next 5+ years, I guess it could be classes or zones but I feel like them announcing the themes and names so far ahead leaks are going to seem even more fake when they start popping up in 3 years from now.
I mean, we’re assuming a lot here, about expansion length and how much content. I’m sure we’ll get a clearer picture today about that. I think it’s also important to understand cutting out a years time from expansion also cuts out the subscription revenue from that, but I think the philosophy is they know 2 years is too long to keep a lot of people engaged the whole time. They want us to stick around, and a year cycle would do that for a lot imo.
Cutting out the end of an expansion drought would be huge by virtually eliminating that time. So, maybe we do get one less patch worth of content meant to last a long time. Like the patch we’re getting soon in retail, but we’d have another expansion in its place at the same time. We’re also losing that year of subbing. So, it’ll be interesting how this plays out. Yes, we’d be paying for an expansion earlier, but we’d also be getting a lot more content quicker. The comparison between Investment paid vs content is tough to debate without a road map. Hopefully today we get an idea, but I agree with a 2 raid tier 3 season approach. Maybe we get an extra island or zone in the second raid patch.
They could release the roadmap, once 10.2.5 is on the PTR, probably sometimes next week or the week after.
A season lasts about 6 months, that should put us at about End of May/Start of June next year. From there we'd have about 3-4 months for a fated season. before Pre-oatch for TWW hits.
Why are people so hung up about the word "tribes" lol. He is clearly referring about Belves, Helves and Velves who all consider Quel'thalas their home. The Nightborne are closely allied with the Belves and maybe the Nelves won't stand idly by while another races home is being destroy just like what happened to Teldrassil.

Earthen confirmed to be 25% bigger than normal Dwarves is a good differential. Now if they can give them an option for rock/crystal hair and beards I'll be sold
I believe overall, this hero talent concept is going to be a game changer. I'm just waiting for a full list to see what WC3 heroes are going to be slotted into existing classes. I'm willing to beat that Survival is going to get Headhunters, and Shaman are going to get Witch Doctors and Shadow Hunters. Death Knights are definitely going to get Lichs and Necromancers.
I'm really curious to see what Demon Hunters and Evokers get.

I have a feeling the crystal in Hallowfall (awful name, people are going to call it Hallowfell, Hollowfall, Hollowfell...) is either an Old God seed that got infused with the Light or a Light equivalent of an Old God seed. I reckon it could still be under Silithus though and maybe it was what Sargeras was actually aiming at. Presumably it could also be what Xal'atath is looking for and she needs to empower the Nerubians to actually be able to fight against the Arathi to get to it and complete its darkening with Galakrond's essence.
I hope we get a new roadmap today.

It's just this, it was the wording used but I don't believe he meant time travel just returning to the world of old. I took it that he was hinting at revamp of the zones but without saying it.
On a seperate note it's disappointing to see so many already putting the expansion down. TWW will be a bit slower then the other two but if anyone rememberd any film sagas it's the same premise. The underground feels claustrophobic thing, people clearly don't have an imagination. None of these zones bar the Nerubians previewed felt underground and they have explicitly said they are making sure it isn't felt.
Go watch Godzilla V Kong to help your imagination with a hollow earth inspiration and wait for more previews before beating it down
