That sounds about right. Fated wasn’t very popular with my guild, we had like half quit playing until DF. Was it like that with others?

Everything I’ve read seems good. A bit annoyed that I’m going to have to buy the biggest pre order bundle now for the 3 day early access. Due to my guild wanting everyone leveling up ASAP.

one complaint ive heard is some people felt like they would of gotten CE if there was no season 4 due to the extra time in a usual drought , what if for season 4 in dragonflight they just let you get CE with killing the boss on a relatively similar tuning? or instead of a new season with increased ilvls bring the old ones up and let you keep progging emerald dreams lots of different routes i think they could go while still keeping the positives.

I am pretty sure you could have just ran it when Sepulcher was not the fated raid of the week and gotten the benefits of much better and more varied gear on top of that.

We should have known that Avaloren leak was fake, in hindsight we should have easily known. That leak should have never been that popular.

There was no way they brought back Metzen to reveal Dragon Isles #2.

The dead giveaway that the leak was fake was just how mundane and unambitious it was. There was just no ambition in it at all. Literally just Dragon Isles #2.

With the Worldsoul saga, you can complain about gameplay systems all you want, but you can't deny that it's ambitious in terms of storytelling, setting, and simply put, hype.

I dont disagree, I did try to keep my expectations low but metzen hyped me up :P.

Delves isnt a new feature really, is it? we've had similar stuff before and just to be clear, I fucking LOVE these, I think DF not having any of these "scenarios" is such a missed opportunity. I really look forward to having them as an evergreen feature, but again, not a big NEW feature imo.

Warbands is nice sure, but I pretty much only play 1 or at most 2 classes anyway so its not something big for me.

We don't really know enough about Delves to say. I imagine we'll learn a bit in the deep dive today.

A big difference is that they're from the start planned to be long-term features extending beyond just TWW and are intentionally meant as a gear progression path.

So far, it's obvious that the big reveal in The Last Titan will be that Azeroth is a creator/progenitor of all Cosmic Forces, and thus the Universe.

In the book in 10.2: "Perhaps Azeroth herself was touched by all these forces. Or could she be their true source?". They've been going with it since 9.2 and Metzen is clearly intent on continuing.

In other words, the Titans are themselves the children of Azeroth. Upon learning it, being the one who perceived Order and the Titans as alien to the planet and who did and sacrificed A LOT to have them dead, Iridikron will go completely mad and will try to destroy the World Soul, becoming the final boss.

That's how I see it, anyway.

lol yeah but its a common copium i see in guilds my rank of why they didnt like fated, but i liked it, but sepulcher was cut pretty short for its difficulty imo

I mean I called it fake since day 1, I still considered Avaloren possible but those 4 screenshots were crap (and I'm honestly a little preoccupied at how gullible people are in general, seriously none of these assets were new).

And agreed, WS saga is very ambitious and I think it's just what we needed! I'm very excited for Midnight (I imagine you are too )

I was willing to give it a chance, but only if it had a hype and serious story.

Basically, if Avaloren had a mixture of The World Within and Midnight stories (Alleria vs. Xal'atath rivalry leading into major Void invasion), I would have been willing to give it a chance.

Just like I gave a chance to Highmountain (boring, mundane Tauren zone with a bunch of huts) on the premise that the main storyline revolved around the Legion's return.

But in terms of setting, The Worldsoul saga is objectively better than Avaloren.

I am gonna be really surprised if the Delves are not identical to ESO Delves.

It's not low res for WoW, but it would be slightly too low res for what appears to be a customizable mount (the Algarian Stormrider). Not sure, though. Could just be a small minor departure from the customizable mounts that came before it. Doesn't neccesarily rule anything out.

So the texture was indeed for the mount, but it being low res now makes sense as it's meant to be a prebaked NPC skin texture for the mount, which are rather low res. It is also not actually a customization option as it is much darker than the blue skin the mount has, so this might actually be an NPC skin from The War Within or an earlier version of the mounts skin.

Speaking of which did they suggest when those Earthen would be playable? Next patch? 11.0? Or will we have to wait until 11.1 like Kul Tirans & Zandalari?

They implied that we first need to help them create new earthen (that they would be the playable characters). So I expect 11.0 helping them reunify the 3 factions so they can create new ones together (the traditionalist have the knowledge, the machinist the machines and the rebels the free will)

Literally no one. And I mean no one. In the history of anyone outside of your self (as a concept not you personally) will care about CE after the World First Race unless you are insanely close to the race itself.

Honestly, I think this is more indicative of how we've gotten used to half-assedly blowing through storylines after BfA. BfA easily could've been stretched into at least two expansions, if not more.

I feel like the reveal is indicative of Blizzard also realising this and trying to shift to a different gear.

Even one expansion without it is a massive step forward for Night Elf Entertainment. They've given us one underground red dwarf factory area which is whatever the opposite of an elf forest is. At least the zones previewed show that all the zone designers have been given their narcolepsy meds after DF's showing.
