SO GUYS AND GIRLS HOW we feelin today? huh?
I rewatched whole wow panels (classic+ cata- and a WORDSOUL SAGA )
And I will say this: I like it more and MORE
Classic+
lone hunter? heal mage?! WARLOCK METAPORPH TANK?!?! -> hell yeah - Sign me in!
World Soul Saga:
1. Shorter expansion - W
2. New Zones - BIG W I rly like themes, etc
3. Heritage / Warband - BIG W - finally!!!
4. Unlimited Transmog - W
5. Solo end game content - BIG W! (I don't always have: time, willingness, patience - to look for / play with other ppl)
like I said before - I'm huge fan of: challenge modes, visions, torghast, etc
ofc some1 will say:
''bro - its a damn mmo - if u wona play single player go play - i dont know - cyberpunk''
Well, Yes but actually NO*
Cata-
I rly wona see the '#changes'
LETS GO
I still don't think it was the opening cinematic of the first expansion
(although there is little action in it - it is a masterfully made - RTX ON)
*
I dont have a problem with clearing HC raid (or Mythic from time to time) or all +20 (or 22,23 whatever)
but the amount of time wasted during FINDING any descent ppl (regardles of rio bullshit or other metrics) is insane and I mean - INSANE
*no 20*
bro u need to do +20 before getting invite to 20
*done 20*
sory 'only meta club'
sign /decline
sing /decline
etc
bro u playing (any non-canon spec) bro WTF
*meanwhile spriests dhs rouges doin clownfiesta but HEY 'we are meta'*
If they hadn't showed her as a glowing gold sun and kept it hidden where the voice was coming from I would guess maybe the "singing" only happens when the world soul gets temporarily void flipped (assuming the crystal in the ceiling is related to the world soul) and that it relates to "the King of Diamonds has been made a pawn" but who knows?
There are many possibilities to be honest. But I think most of us agree we are looking at last 3 traditional expansions for 2004 game. Something that probably Blizzard imagined as Sargeras/Burning Legion expansion when they started WoW.
What's after that? I think at least level squish and totally down to the earth chapter, most likely in new EK/Kalimdor. But I start to believe it won't be 14.0, but true WoW 2 with new engine and hard reset.
That's why I doubt these will be some short 1 year expacs. I think Blizzard thought about many expansions in advance for 2 reasons:
a) lore - now we will feel we are experiencing really important events, underground expansion alone would have "sigh, another continent" reaction
b) buy themself time, making WoW 2 won't take 2 years, more like 5-6 at least.
If I have to guess right now:
1) The War Within - October 2024
2) Blizzcon 2024 - TWW patches
3) Blizzcon 2025 - MD features reveal
4) Midnight - April 2026
5) Blizzcon 2026 - TLT features reveal
6) The Last Titan - October 2027
7) Blizzcon 2027 - TLT patches, teasing end of WoW
8) Patch 13.2 and final raid of World of Warcraft - November 2028, 25th anniversary.
9) Blizzcon right after that, with World of Warcraft 2 reveal.
10) Around 2030 - WoW 2 release.
Oof, I got carried away.
After the world soul saga, it'll be the 'cosmic saga.
Basically what the jailor warned us about.
We still have 5 zeriths left to visit.
The world revamp dream will never die!
@Marlamin also don't forget the vrykul from Legion and the Scourge from Shadowlands!
I almost did lol. Definitely, Alleria as well. It makes a lot of sense that Thrall is the voice of reason here too, that worked out beautifully, and while big banger epic trailers are fun, the reason this trailer is at the top of my list is because the emotion displayed was incredibly well done (emotional phobist begone!) Some sort of link and connection I believe is what we really enjoy in media. Of course, the game is fun, but without the story substance it's like a sandwich with no meat, at least imho. Some just care about the game, that's fine. I need more than that, I need a purpose.
I don't think the expansions will be lighter on content than SL or DF, I think the goal is to eliminate the final stretch drought. Have three 6 month seasons and then straight into the next part of the saga. We will likely never see 4 raid expansions again. Which I'm okay with.
now that i look back.. anyone else getting a 'shadowlands' or 'BFA' vibe from the sheer aesthetic of the expansion and its gameplay features?
"You know you that bitch when you cause all this conversation."
Personally I think the TWW cinematic is one of the best, up there alongside the Wrath and WoD cinematics.
Only the arathi zone reminds me vaguely of revendreth, and even that is a stretch. So not really, no, not in terms of gameplay features either. BFA was a trainwreck in terms of systems. Shadowlands had the whole ripcord fiasco. This doesn't have any of these burdens, looks like. DF fixed that part of the game dev mindset
