Not true yesterday the article and I believe presentation said they don’t want button bloat (wowwiki article) so there would be a button or two potentially bht mostly passive.

As I have said before, I don't mind Dynamic Flying being easy to get into and use. I mind it being trivial, and that all the improvements come from Vigor.

In my head I imagine a version of the zones where updrafts are placed liberally. Every bridge, natural or constructed, has a speed bost under it.
Upgrades are stuff like Ground Skimming increasing your speed. Eating sheep or other natural wildlife giving you vigor regen. Hitting three speed bosts within a ten second duration gives you maximum speed for five seconds. etc.

Stuff that means that when you look at a zone, you see a myriad ways you can show off your skill in Dragonriding, get rewarded, and naturally feel badass doing so. Not one where you know someone is skilled because they know the most efficient angle to use for ascending rapidly. And who knows how to dolphin jump to get from Iskaara to Valdrakken ten seconds faster than someone new to it.

Players want it to be trivial though. They dont want to have to play a minigame to get to that rare quickly. They just want to get there. If they want to add more challenges and minigames for flying thats great. Dont take away functionality. It probably would have been fine if they implemented it the way you suggest, but its too late now. You cant take away peoples toys. Its like flying in tbc. They regretted adding it, but it was too late. Cant take it away.

True, but I'd go out in a limb and ascribe some responsibility to Blizzard for their communication. At this point it just seems like a marketing ploy, as if applying a series of fancy names to a simple new row of talent points.

Yesterday, I think a great deal of people - including myself - dupped themselves/were dupped into believing this was an entirely different thing, far more transformative than it seems to be, both mechanically and aesthetically.

Well, this dupe lasted 24h, so it shouldn't be a big issue.

So, what is the main selling point of the next expansion? What is the headliner? Delves? From the info we have so far, they seem like withered scenarios from Legion, but for multiple people and a item reward at the end. If implemented right, this could be a nice feature, but it also has the chance to go down similar to Island Expeditions or Torghast.

Everything else has the grandiose of a patch content.

Hero talents are just regular talents, but separated into a different tree, they didn't even bother to promise any cosmetic differences based on what you take.

New Allied Race is as patch content as it can get, and IMO is a letdown even by Allied Races standards.

The Warbands is a gimmick for account wide bank/rep and a worse iteration of Bind on Account items, which we've had since Cata or MoP.

I know that the term "filler expansion" is hated around here, but this is exactly how TWW feels to me.

May I say, I'm happy for Teriz that Tinker is not on those, it means the Tinker class dream lives on.
And the Bard one too!

For me some of those Hero Specs make sense, but some others... oof. Missed opportunities, I really hope they fix this before launch and listen to the feedback.

Like, no Blademaster for Warrior or Necromancer for Death Knight is a bit silly to me.
Some of them are really cool though, I like the fantasty behind Keeper of the Grove, Dark Ranger, Sunfury, Templar, Shado-Pan, Farseer, Stormbringer, Mountain Thane and Soul Harvester.

I would say more in The Last Titan, considering it's probably going to be titan-focused (duh) and they could use their gadgets/gizmos/titan tech?

Regarding Hero Talent spec names, I think they should stay away from the ones which imply you are unique as a character.

Like "Scalecommander" for Evoker, that has an obvious lore implication. "Chronowarden", however, seems fine.

Same with Death Knight's "Rider of the Apocalypse". Suggests lore. Compare that to one of the Rogue ones, called "Trickster", lol.

For Druid, instead of "Elune's Chosen", "Keeper of the Grove", etc., they could just use established "of the" titles we've had since WC3. Druid of the Talon, Druid of the Claw, etc.

Maybe, im skeptical. But I don't mind a slower cadence for the back half. It will give me time to do other things. I want to play the new Season of classic, plus try out Cata. Its fine if they just have another medium patch and a fated patch. Just my opinion of course.

Personally I'd be fine with that too... but the Blizzard bean-counters will need reassurances that people are subbing to the game on a monthly basis.

One thing that I felt was disappointing was that there was no mention of delves having difficulties. So I assume they will be tuned for the lowest common denominator.

Thats a prime candidate for expansion in a 11.1 or 11.2 patch. Heroic Delves. Like mage tower hard. Rewards tons of currency, low heroic level gear from chests, and low mythic gear from the vault.

What was the selling point of WotLK? 10 new levels and a few new zones? A reused raid? A few more talents on the tree? filler expansion honestly

Buffed blood leech disease/unholy DoT abilities. Maybe some blood orbs you can run over for self-healing/damage boost.

I really dig that theme and hopefully this is available without the blood tank spec.
