Sometimes, the light of the moon is a key to other spaces. I've found a place where, for a night or two, the streets curve in unfamiliar ways. If I walk here, I might find insight, or I might be touched by madness.
Nothing ambitious. We're just getting island expeditions/niffen but in caves and with great vault loot, and a few new talents.
Blizzard brought out Metzen on stage and announced the next three expansions at once to deflect people's attentions away from how lackluster the expansion is. TWW will be the second expansion in a row with no new experimental content or features (no, dragoinriding isn't content, it is a travel mechanic to get you to the content).
should separate tww, mn and tlt threads be made?
Players care about convenience over gameplay far too often. And as I have said before, there is convenience. There is old flying, and there are flight paths. And even with how I envision it you wouldnt see players who struggle with the basics, you would just see them not fly as impressively.
For me this is basically as if the most challening content in the game was a levelling dungeon, and all classes could at worst two shot bosses for easy loot.
It would be absurd to not consider options for content that doesnt necessarily require a large amount more skill to do, but at least offered ways to show off mastery of your class in a cool way.
The world revamp dream will never die!
It literally has everything DF has plus those things. How is that filler? Still has world quests, m+ raids, pvp with new bg, Factions, etc, but now also has delves, world content on weekly chest, pvp reward changes for the better etc.
If DF wasnt filler then TWW isnt. And if DF was filler in your eyes, TWW is DF+.
They already made everyone THE head general of their faction on Draenor during WoD. They already made everyone THE Highlord of the Silver Hand or the Ebon Blade or the Archdruid and even gave them THE Doomhammer and the Ashbringer or reforged Frostmourne. The player character is already treated as unique.
As someone who's been very critical of the story the past few expansions, I think this is the best course for them. The narrative has suffered seemingly having to invent new places and characters each expansion just to drop them and move on to the next thing. Only with very loose threads holding it all together.
I think having 3 expansions to tell their tale, with established characters at that, will give them more time to focus on making the story cohesive. They might still drop the ball of course, but I think plays much more to their strengths approaching it this way.
With respect, that's the most glass-half-empty thing I've seen written on this thread in the past 48 hours.
As I said above, why do we need new systems? All people have done is complain about them. This new expansion feels like a culmination of all the things people have been ASKING for for years: alts treated as player agency, shared benefits like reputations and reagents, open world progression, dragonriding made universal, and much more. Doesn't sound lackluster to me at ALL.
Did they say anything about how many characters can be included in the Warband?
