So what do people reckon? Arathi tribe. Fanatical enemies we have to work around, or allies we help? We know there is a dungeon or two there, but who knows on whether it's because the people there are generally hostile. Whether we join forces with rebels trying to stop corruption. Or whether we are fighting against rebels trying to do something or other.

We could be fighting the Arathi in the second raid for all we know. Finally getting something close to the Scarlet Monastery raid we never got back in Vanilla.

    Answer: Yes.

As is tradition. MMOs give us stuff we need to punch, and that means using hostile versions of any given visual kit. There's a trope for it.

Even the What's Next panel made fun of "boy, sure would suck if there's division." If there's a faction in WoW, it has division and a bad version.

Maybe. I get the sense this is going to be a 2 raid expansion to accompany the faster timeline, but I could be wrong.

If they are the second raid, though, maybe Xal turns to corrupting the light crystal which ends up meaning she allies with them.

I'm sure there will be some among them who have chosen to side with the enemy. Plays well with human nature and exploring the theme of Light and Shadow shifting within that zone. Also makes for a more interesting story. However, they are described as having been fighting the nerubians for centuries, so I think they're mostly good. Maybe something changed recently to cause some of them to turn.

That's with just two year expansion cycles like past history, starting toward the end of each year. The point I think the interviewee was making was they DON'T want The Last Titan to be the 2030 experience, but rather would like to speed it up.
But 2030 would be when 14.0 comes out. I hope they don't. "Speeding it up" is only bad for the customer considering they charge by the expansion.

    Heck yeah!

Although I wonder why we'd need HD versions of all those traditional EK/KA assets if the current world got destroyed.

Quel'dorei from all over Azeroth must unite under one banner, along with other allies, to breach their ancient city and reclaim the well before all is lost.
This is likely what will happen.

Silvermoon has been compared to Suramar many times both in-univese by relevant characters and out-of-universe by the community.

So it makes sense for Revamped Silvermoon to be a hostile endgame zone like Suramar.

I think Silvermoon will fall to the Void early on and a gated questline will be about its gradual liberation from the Void invaders, like it was for Suramar in Legion.

The "fall of Silvermoon" will serve to raise the stakes and show the Void's terrifying power and why they are a terrible threat for Azeroth, the same story function the Broken Shore disaster had for Legion.

The first tier can be the final push to liberate Silvermoon (like Nighthold), then the second tier will be the Sunwell 2.0 raid to banish Dimensius the All-Devouring and the Void permanently from Azeroth (like TBC Sunwell and Tomb of Sargeras), and then final tier and expansion conclusion in K'aresh to liberate that world from the Void and avenge the Ethereal (similarly to 7.3 on Argus).

So Silvermoon > Sunwell > K'aresh in a way that resembles Legion's Suramar > Tomb of Sargeras > Argus.

Weird thought. But is TWW going to be the most urban expansion in the game? Both Hallowfall and Azj'Kahet seem to be mostly city of some sort. And Isle of Dorn seems to be heavily urbanized as well.

I mean their cathedral is also a dungeon.
Also, given that these are all likely 2 years expansions, expect them all to have three raid tiers. I just hope they have more bosses. The raids in DF were all small. Or maybe we could get some double raid tiers again!

If they turn SMC into a combat area the fanbase is going to implode. People are still seething about no chill phase for Suramar.

Also I suspect that if we get two patches, the midpatch will be dealing with the sea monsters attacking Arathi. They don't seem to be a big focus yet.

They're not going to reset all of Azeroth. Cataclysm damaged Azeroth and was contentious, and not just because you couldn't visit the old content. Going back to start and revisiting all of those events is a neat idea for a side story or something, albeit we've already done it a few times.

14.0 will almost certainly be a story and core zone reboot, though. But probably just a time passage with consequences and continuations from the last 20 years of the game.

Definitely, even the Ringing Deeps has a mechanized city vibe to it. It's where all the Earthen engineers are

Honestly Isle of Dorn seems visually so similar to Markath in Skyrim and ESO.

Probably, the only zone without a big city is Ringing Deeps. Personally love the approach.

Well we're continuing BfA story so I guess we'll see more BfA characters, like Nathan... oh wait.

Hope that's not a placeholer tho, I like Talanji, maybe we'll see Flynn again !

As I stated before, if I were making these expansions, and what I would expect Blizzard to do. Is two raids and a megadungeon.

Impossible to say though. The fact that the developers gave the full six years for the expansion to end at least seems to imply they are leaving room for each one taking the full two years, rather than 12 or 18 months like many are expecting.

Damn, I'm beginning to turn. I can feel this story starting to lure me in.

I can't wait to see what's going on in Hallowfall, and how it'll all connect to Quel'thalas. I have my theories, as I've just explained, but it'll be another thing to experience it for myself.

I just hope they're able to make each expansion feel different enough from the last.

Hopefully Midnight has a ton of Lordaeron content overall. Maybe armies of humans, dwarves, and elves (lol) stand together against the darkness. Maybe it'll feel like a major throwback and homage to Warcraft 3, and TBC.

The Last Titan is probably what worries me the most, because I'm not sold on the idea of unravelling what the Titans are. Plus, it's soooo far away.

I don't know what's weirder, that DK got San'layn even though that's a Priest Talent. Or why either class has it considering it's just the elven word for vampire.

If they want these hero talents to make your build feel more unique they need a lot of work. All of Warrior, Death Knight, Demon Hunter & Druid's options just sound like synonyms of the specializations they already have.

I was excited for dwarven zones/lore/aesthetics (and lol I love the engineering stuff and customizable flying machine) but it was a given with leaks already. Now what I really love that didn't expect at all is the arathi zone that gives huge Anor londo + steampunk vives and as a Human Paladin main since 2010, it's totally my jam. I wan that plate set ASAP
