Dunno. I wouldn't be surprised if we actually fail to protect it. Can't thwart stage 1.

Usually in a fantasy trilogy what happens is you win the obvious fight in book one, only to find out the threat is much larger. You then lose in book two and start book three in dire straits.

Also, before anyone says it, no, the Naaru are not the Light's equivalent to Old Gods. Naaru are way weaker than Old Gods, and Void Gods (remember Muru) are already the Void counterpart to Naaru.
A comment on youtube brought up that it could be a shard of Light from the initial Light vs. Shadow clash at the beginning of the universe:

"The cataclysmic birth of the cosmos sent shards of fractured Light flying through the cosmos, suffusing the newly formed planets of the universe with the spark of life and giving birth to countless life forms, the most common of which were the primordial elementals."

It's not impossible that the crystal raid is the one leaning more into Light and Void stuff, though. Maybe there's a stronghold of the Arathi somewhere inside that cave, and the ones defending it are Arathi who turned dark. Final room perhaps inside the crystal, depending on its nature. Watch Xal'atath steal its essence or whatever.

Although, I suppose the crystal itself needs to remain functional, since the Arathi kingdom depends on it. Maybe Xal'atath is happy taking just the dark bits from it.

Hopefully they'll return to using the Chronicles lore and drop the "Just from Titans perspective!!!!" BS.

The origin of the Cosmos as an inner struggle between Light and Void, as depicted in Chronicles, is perfect and thematically-fitting.

Lol crazy idea but what if that crystal is Azeroth's vestigial twin? TWO AZEROTHS.

Indeed. Though I still prefer it happening by chance rather than being set into motion by the First Ones.

Yeah, hope so too. They probably took a course to strip WoW off this crap baggage that Shadowlands offered. For now it seems like just the Void, Light and Titans are in play with much more focused, detailed storytelling rather than creating immense amount of unnecessary lore.

I think it's more likely some sort of Naaru assault device than primordial light. It's visibly manufactured.

Who knows, The Last Titan may change a few things there.

Though i wonder if that conspiracy is by the Titans, against the Titans or independent of them.

Team World Revamp won, but at what cost... Gon' have to wait 2.5 years for Midnight and even more for The Last Titan.

Could be the Light equivalent of an Old God, except it crashed and broke.

It’s the Light’s equivalent to an Old God imo. Mountain sized tentacle monsters is befitting of the Void’s chaotic nature, and mountain-sized crystals is befitting of the Light’s orderly nature. It was even “whispering” to the Arathi, which is how they ended up there despite being thousands of miles away.

That sounds pretty similar to the Old Gods origins. Replace the Void Lords launching millions of mountain sized tentacle monsters throughout the universe to crash land on planets with the Light Lords launching millions of mountain sized crystals throughout the universe to crash land on planets

And then consider that those Light-shards turn into Void-shards, ala Hallowsfall... Hmm.. Maybe the Old Gods-turning-Azeroth-Voidy schtick has been a ruse all along.

Did they really? They will at most revamp Qualthalas and surrounding areas + maybe Northrend for final expansion. But that is a big maybe, since we only know that we go back to Ulduar.

Sometimes, the light of the moon is a key to other spaces. I've found a place where, for a night or two, the streets curve in unfamiliar ways. If I walk here, I might find insight, or I might be touched by madness.

The real copium is that Blizz is delivering QT and Northrend revamps first because it's actually the last bit of the revamps they have to still finish

EK and Kalimdor are done and in waiting for release after the Saga lmao (not likely)
