Iam late to talk about the ending cinematic:
I want to believe that Azeroth lobotomized the aspects and converted them into her champions.

Malfurion didn't die though.

Aspect of Elements would fit her primalist status and elements are important part of any world the Titans like to ignore because their inherent chaotic nature.

Ysera is her sister.
Fyrakk was their cousin.
Vyranoth is just a friend.
So that cinematic was fine, but the dialogue was awful. Very Saturday morning cartoon dialogue imo.

It says article for today. So I doubt its a 10.2.5 reveal. It would be more than an article right?

But whats the point of the zone phasing in? Will there be content there, or will it just be an empty zone?
The article today is for 10.2.5. There doesn’t need to be a dev video (could be, but doubtful since it says “article”). They’ve done this in the past for both patches 10.1.5 and 10.1.7. Expect the article with 10.2.5 announcement/PTR news around 1 p.m. EST.
Azeroth is not the poor victim or the unborn titan we are being led to believe
The Naga queen also knows this because she "gazed upon her glory" or whatever it said in the Naga book.
Head canon: the Titans imprisoned Azeroth because she is a threat to the universe and the facilities were created to try and Order her. Sargeras discovered her true nature and wanted to kill her before she broke free but was labeled a traitor for not believing in their leader.
Outside of the stuff from the last chapter stuff that's already available (for some) as well as the tree being there for cosmetic/continuity reasons, there will probably be something there at some point. It's giving off very blank canvas vibes and there was an NPC hinting at city building happening soon, so I guess that's going to be 10.2.x stuff (maybe expanding on that supply crafting thing the weekly quests use to do a AQ war effort again or something, would be neat /speculation).
Keep in mind the entire thing was encrypted (although badly) so I'm guessing they didn't want to put a ton of content on it just yet either to keep it from being even easier to datamine than it already was.
I think the word I would use to summarize it is "Safe". The plot doesnt do anything shocking, at least so far. And the plot has meandered predictably from one obvious outcome to the next.
Really, the only fault in it is that the ending feels rushed. You get the impression the writers were still going on the assumption that there would be one more patch to really space out important events, like Vyranoth defecting and joining Alexstrasza. Or the Emerald Dream plotline going from someting important to a single zone, to something that supposedly warrants an Avengers Endgame moment of all the big names teleporting in to help us.
BfA and SL were far worse. BfA because the setting and expansion pitch was infinitely more interesting, and they botched it about as badly as you possibly could.
SL because it was both boring, and horrible for the long term narrative of WoW.
DF is just boring. Not bad, just not enough good moments to warrant the parts where the expansion slows down.
The world revamp dream will never die!
I'm fine with DF being a boring Disney expansion because the Worldsoul saga will be the most ambitious storyline that Blizzard has ever created. All will be epic again, trust in Metzen.
Thank Metzen we didn't get Avaloren instead!! Truly I would have lost all interest in the WoW lore if 11.0 was Dragonflight 2.0.
There's a reason why the vast majority of people were disappointed or let-down by that Avaloren leak...
DF was a solid 6/10 for me. I really hope the saga fixes the pacing issues and betters the dialogue.
Is the creator of that leak still incognito? The last second Tigon drop got me bad.
People thinking they changed the Ysera storyline when Blizzard didn't budge on the tree, something people are MUCH angrier about, is funny to me.
It's sloppily written, but Ysera was always going to come back for a little after she was reformed in the Shadowlands because she is a fan favorite. They set up Merithra as aspect in BFA... why would they bring Ysera back permanently?
Reminds me how people believe that Wrathion, am immensely popular and borderline token LGBTQcoded character, was "written out" of being aspect because he was on the loading screen/artbook. No, he was written out as a twist, it was planned.

Has this already been discussed? Someone asked in Taliesin's chat if Danuser had left Blizz - https://www.twitch.tv/taliesinandevi...e=7d&sort=time
