@Ersula
They flat out said in interviews they were still defining the conclusion and key story moments for freakin' Sanctum of Domination during the pandemic. By that point Afrasiabi was long gone, and that's just 9.1.
Afrasiabi said at the BlizzCon stage that revealed SL that Sylvanas serves nobody and has her own hidden agenda. By the time SL released, she was actually in on his plan and was presented as a deceived pawn until she made her turn at the end of 9.1.
Steve flat out said that he wrote the loyalist dreck from Sylvanas during the Forsaken questline. On Twitter. A few months ago.
From what we do know of Afrasiabi's work and his tendencies, the First Ones stuff doesn't even resemble his usual M.O. Alex tended to be big on sudden shock events or major character shakeups (Manabomb Jaina, Teldrassil, Cata-Garrosh taking the wheel, even the sky opening over Icecrown) but never seemed to give a fuck about the wider cosmology. Anytime someone went in depth about the Death pantheon or anything related, including before his departure, it was Danuser.
It is entirely possible for Alex and Steve to both suck without jumping through hoops to defend the latter.
For the "people always blame a name" arguments from people, that is true, but its not necessarily always the same people, and, man, sometimes situations make you realize how much you miss someone like Chris.
DRAENOOOOR IS FREEEEEEE
People will complain about anything with a fan base this large and impassioned but Wrath and Legion's finales more or less got the best reception. For the former I do not know why beyond ARTHAAAAS, I KNOOOW WHO THAT IS

Maybe that's why they are trying to writer something bigger with the Worldsoul Saga. Maybe they know that writing things as they go isn't the best approach.
So, 10.2.5 happens today, right? In about 10 minutes? I do not see much hype for it. I personally hope that it is at least as good as 10.1.5, which IMO was pretty cool. Hopefully even better.
I would say that the TW revamp, archaeology revamp, the new ''books'' feature that Morgan Day mentioned a few days ago, the return of the Brawler's Guild, more classes opened to all races... those are all things that we expect to happen, probably within DF, but there will be more. Maybe playable Drakonids?

Do not take life too seriously. You will never get out of it alive.
Hey, I got one right! Gilneas!
The rest is uninteresting to me but AI for dungeons is huge.
Dickmann's Law: As a discussion on the Lore forums becomes longer, the probability of the topic derailing to become about Sylvanas approaches 1.
Tinkers will be the next Class confirmed.
It should be a Forsaken vs. Worgen fight, but Blizzard would sooner leap off a cliff than take faction content. I figure Calia, peace be upon her, will be there to help with the handover and the enemies will be either left-over Bloodfang, left-over Sylv loyalists, or misc. plague abominations from when the city was gassed.

A fun deep cut, and expansion-appropriate, would be the contingent of Black Dragon-controlled Worgen guys.
