Had to make an account for this because it's actually crazy, no high level player is actually going to feel obligated to run delves past the 2 weeks. Even if it caps out at hero track that's fine. No one in my guild (CE Aberrus currently 4/9M) needed hero track gear past the first 2 weeks except for a couple specific items, mostly op trinkets like signet brand. As long as there are no op trinkets delves won't be "required content" for any actual high level players and anyone who calls themselves high level and can get upgrades from delves week 3 is coping hard
The only circumstance I can see Delves feeling obligatory is if they're the fastest way to earn wyrm crests or flightstones, and even that's more of a midcore player "problem" than high end after the first few weeks. I use quotes because I don't view a typical midcore player as even reaching the point of needing aspect crests to upgrade anything before they've tapped out of M+ for the season, so it'd be complaining that your low-mid level audience is engaging with the game more.
Love seeing more adventerous tabards coming via the Trading Post. This new pelt tabard is incredible.
Do you think they might be able to do asymmetric tabards? So far, they have all been and might be a limitation how the code was done all the way back in Classic.
An asymmetric Tabard of the Lightbringer with an actual hand would be cool.
I have a slight theory...
Xal'atath's origins having multiple theories with the most outlandish being the blade was the remains of a forgotten old god consumed by its kin with the other theory is that it was a claw from Y'shaarj.
What if Y'shaarj was large and powerful because it ATE the 5th Old God (presumably Xal'atath) but Xal'atath lived on inside of him. Y'shaarj would then find his way inside Elun'Ahir and try to corrupt it through the roots to the World Soul. When Aman'thul pulled the tree (and by extension Y'shaarj) out, one of his claws broke off and that's how Xal'atath was able to live on again as a dagger.
And the intended audience is solo players, despite Delves supporting up to 5, so yes, that's not what is wanted here, glad you understand.
You say it's crazy and no one would do it, then provide an example where that would be the case anyway.
There just has to be one specific item that sims slightly above other Heroic equivalents, for that to be considered "mandatory farm", even if just for two weeks.
Even if it isn't that OP and just an alternative to a once-a-week chance from the raid, but the Delve item is farmable, then some theorycrafters will see that as "mandatory".
That's why putting the highest rewards on a weekly lockout makes sense, e.g. in the Vault, and by having it share the row with Dungeons, high-end players will feel little to no "need" to run Delves, while this doesn't affect the casual players who run a couple Delves a week instead of group content.
If they do use the Group Finder to gather a group for Delves, they would get less "gogogo" type players who are farming this alongside threlve other types of content.
Blizzard doesn't have to do it this way and may indeed come up with a better solution, but not incentivizing high-end group content players to run Delves would be beneficial for both sides.
But your duty to Azeroth is not yet complete. More is demanded of you... a price the living cannot pay.
I wonder if we will get SoO as timewalking or fated raid with old heirlooms brought back in 10.2.6 or 10.2.7.

this was datamined back in july and nothing happened since, for me personally fated would be more exciting if it had some older raids too in rotation.
One for TW, one for Fated? Not sure which I'd prefer, but the new/returning itemIDs for SoO drops might have to do with changes to make the loot compatible with the new upgrade system - which can mean either, but imho this points towards SoO Fated, and therefore ToT TW.

10.2.6 is also on the menu since today
