Not sure you’d call it a “defence” but the reason why they didn’t help is pretty obvious.

They didn’t know what the scope of the scourge/legion and they didn’t care as they were targeting there enemies and left the trolls more or less unharmed.

It's largely busted still. Characters all have 2147 million health, random debuffs being applied. I think the Dragon Isles instance is totally down, and logging into other continents is hit or miss. I'm not sure what's happening, but this has been going on for over a week now and persisted through yesterday's build.

Undermine would be quite amazing. I so I hope you're right.

I just hope if the Arathi storyline is 11.1 that it doesn't end being tied to AU Yrel, because I sort of fear that's where its going.

Yeah, but the Nathrezim's lore only raises a lot more questions than answers in how involved they'll be especially since there isn't a Jailer's grand scheme nor any Burning Legion anymore. All they can do now is try to protect Denathrius until he makes a comeback or unless somehow Sargeras escapes from the Titans and tries to unleash hell on us again.

But the gnolls are the first time they ever directly reference decay magic, in its true essence while the Nathrezim use locusts which can get vague in how it works.

That said, it doesn't have to be gnolls or Nathrezim. Other creatures can know how to use decay if they know how... It's not one of the major forces, but an elemental power (like even needing totems to enhance what it can do.)

I guess we will see 2024 roadmap this week. Personally I expect patches in January, March (timewalking BfA), May (Season 4), then pre-patch/launch during September and 11.0.5 before end of the year.

Hope that we get the roadmap, yes. Last year they showed it on december 21 if memory serves.

Really looking forward to it, because as of now 2024 seems a very weak year for WoW until TWW releases (presumably in the fall). I think that a soft Timewalking revamp + BfA TW + The Brawler's Guild revamp are a given, but I am expecting to have more stuff.

Would be really cool to have some big reveals like, for example: 10.2.6 - New Allied Race, or 10.2.7 - New Spec/Specs. I think that it would certainly create quite a bit of hype to keep players interested through the first half of 2024.

Cannot complain though, having a lot of fun these days, mostly doing old content, trying to catch up in achievements and collections.

Dunno about that, 3 patches for DF, SSF for Hardcore, 3 more chapters for SoD, Cata Classic, TWW Alpha that may start as early as March since we have vendor build already.. plenty of spotlight on WoW before TWW pre-patch.

Yeah, if you play all kinds of Warcraft you will be more than fine. I was talking about Retail WoW, though.

I am positive overall about the content that is coming, but 10.2.5 seems a really small patch. Although it is fair to say that we do not know yet what Gilneas and the new Azethorian Archives will entail. I am expecting some quests and just another kind of world event similar to Fyrakk's Assaults, Time Rifts... But I hope that they are more than just that.

Regarding the two remaining patches, I am expecting, as I said before:

    - Outdoor Timewalking and hopefully something else within this particular system.

    - Brawler's Guild revamp (could be cool but I do not expect it to be a big feature).

    - New race / class combinations.

    - New allied race.

    - New spec (honestly it would be the best moment to introduce a new one since we are not getting a new raid tier).

This is a best case scenario IMO for Retail WoW until TWW releases. I would be more than happy with this but I think that the majority of players would not stick around for just these features.

Just look at the activity in this forum, it has dropped dramatically, even if we got some juicy stuff just a few days ago (patch 10.2.6 and TWW PTRs).

I hope they explore the underground ocean in the Arathi zone (can't recall what its called exactly right now; Hallowfall?).

Iirc they describe a series of encroachments upon Hallowfall by creatures from the ocean. Possibly creatures made as a result of the giant crystal's sudden fluctuations? Given the crystal is directly above the ocean and all. Would also be interesting to go inside the crystal, I can imagine it being like a Nauru dimensional ship but tuned up to 500%.

Personally I would guess that the ocean roughly corresponds to the ocean above, and that the enroaccmwnts are in fact Aqir from the hives beneath Silithus and Ahn'Qiraj

We also don't know what we're going to get for the next two patches after 10.2.5.

I thought the implication was that it was the Nerubians in battle with the Arathi, as an ease into Azj-Kahet. I could be wrong, it would be cool for them to lay the foundations for further enemies in the zone stories, similar to the Sundered Flame.

That is possible for sure. Though I guess it's hard to say without actually seeing the map. Personally I would hope it isnt just the nerubians though, feels a bit redundant when the zones will likely be linked by tunnels anyways.

It was mentioned that the Nerubians are launching attacks against the Arathi, but the attacks that happen at night when the crystal turns dark are from some horrific deep sea creatures, not the Nerubians. One of the deep sea creatures is called a kobyss and it's a skeletal anglerfish-looking thing. Based on the name alone it sounds like they're mutated kobolds with lures instead of candles.

Good call. To give us a quick look, these cosmetics from the Delves show a Kobyss skeleton on the end:

... maybe the idea is to tie the Kobolds to Arathi somehow as they always have a LIGHT on their head? I got nothing.

No mods seem to be online either (from checking all of the ones listed under the forums). This should be fun..

I'm pretty sure Paladin is the class that'll reach all races last. Maybe tied with Demon Hunter and Evoker. Maybe.
