I'd say Druid's would probably come last. I honestly doubt DHs and Evokers will ever come to all races, I think the intent would be all classic classes to all races first. And druids have, by far, more model work than Paladins: bear and cat form with 4 or so colourations each and a default Moonkin form.
Paladins need a mount model. Granted the mount is probably going to be more detailed than the druid forms. And shaman is a single totem model with 4 elements slapped on.

Of course, they could also surprise us and give us all 3 of those classes (due to the increased staff in the dev team) at the same time to wrap up DFs story: Primalists are parallel to new Shamanism teaches amongst new races; new Paladins are enlisted by Tyr's Guard; and Wild Gods probably will spread teachings of Druidism now that the Dream is safe and far more accessible to adventurers.

There is literally no reason why DH's should stay only locked to two races, especially with Midnight coming up, which may be enough of a tread for the Illidari to finally recruit other races to their cause. There is already a human dh in lore, and Earthen can become DK's too, so the "hero class" argument isn't holding up.

Evoker though will prolly stay Dracthyr only, but I could see Blizzard opening up the visages to other races as a compromise.

    Roadmap tomorrow?

(Article) A Look Ahead from the World of Warcraft Team

Very curious to see how far ahead content will be firmly set in stone. The first roadmap had specific details up through 10.0.7, with 10.1 onwards having more general descriptions. I'm guessing that the rest of DF's patches will be detailed given they're all minor patches, but moreso curious if anything with 11.0's release date becomes more specific, including if they indicate 11.0.5 will be in 2024.

Interesting that the Lightsmith paladin gets weapon imbues. The holy armaments seems neat too though it requires other players to grab them, so that could be lost in the shuffle, I feel.

Feels kinda like Lightsmith is support-y to me.

Yes, it becomes a soft support spec. Maybe this is de wei when it comes to supp specs?
Sometimes, the light of the moon is a key to other spaces. I've found a place where, for a night or two, the streets curve in unfamiliar ways. If I walk here, I might find insight, or I might be touched by madness.

Would be easier than just up and changing a whole spec to it, I suppose. Will need to see with other hero talents if the same happens.

It seems more group damage mitigation than actual bonus damage, so for Holy & Protection, it's just more of what they already do. I have to assume the trees that straddle dps/heals will have to be about survivability & will ultimately be meta relegated to pvp.

I thought Lightsmith would be Draenei themed.

It kinda is no? The light forged are the only ones to use weapons and shields made of pure light as far as I can recall.
All I ever wanted was the truth. Remember those words as you read the ones that follow. I never set out to topple my father's kingdom of lies from a sense of misplaced pride. I never wanted to bleed the species to its marrow, reaving half the galaxy clean of human life in this bitter crusade. I never desired any of this, though I know the reasons for which it must be done. But all I ever wanted was the truth.

I was just talking with a friend how Deathbringer will probably have Blood Beasts, because that was Deathbringer Saurfang's whole gimmick.... and it turns out that an entirely different tree gets Blood Beasts. So what the heck is Deathbringer based on? That's like if the Farseer Tree being about Totems instead of Totemic.

I'm hoping that the continued public confusion over hero talents being a strictly gameplay-oriented feature and not intended to have any overlap with the idea of spell cosmetics is sending the message to Blizzard that they'd be remiss to continue pushing back against the idea.

  18. #59918
The light armaments thing are picked up by walking over them so that's helpful at least.

i dont disagree, but it risks running the issue they had with covenants (one of many, lol) where you might aesthetically want to go with say Venthyr but the Necrolord is better for performance in X content. If they can find a way to strike a good balance then yeah I think having some class fantasy options on top of the gameplay options would be ideal for hero specs

Oh no, class cosmetics should be something entirely separate and not tied to any power. It's just a concept they seem to have an internal philosophy against as recently as 10.1.5.
