I think Vrykul are just never-ever. Too big. You can make large humans that act like them but unless there is a shrunken version canonically it can't be done, because their size is such an important part of them.

We have seen multiple smaller sized ones in Stormheim and on the broken isle in general. Being slightly larger then Tauren would be perfectly fine and they would still feel large enough. I have the same feeling when I play a Zandalari, I feel kinda huge. Try out the Vrykul toy+horn, their model works perfectly with that size and you would still tower bove everyone else, but still be able to move through doors etc.. I also think why they are so likable isn't really about their size in general, there is much more to them. I wouldn't say it's a never-ever case just yet.

What's funny is that the Kul Tirans are already Tauren-sized (not counting the hump), you just don't see them next to each other often.
You could make a Vrykul thats a little bigger than Tauren, but I'm not sure if it would still look like a Vrykul, which is why I think they would angle for a different kind of ""Big (Sexy) Human".
Even the smaller-ish ones in Legion are huge.

I think it would work out just fine, the Zandalari already achieve that feeling when standing next to other races. It would have the same effect, but instead you will now tower over every single race. For fun you can test this out with their Legion model to see and also see if their running animation wouldn't feel off in terms of speed. It works fine and will make you feel large enough around other players, but also not feel ridiculously large at the same time. If it works around other players and achieve that feeling, I think there is not much of an issue there.

Sometimes, the light of the moon is a key to other spaces. I've found a place where, for a night or two, the streets curve in unfamiliar ways. If I walk here, I might find insight, or I might be touched by madness.

Im still holding hopium for Ogres or Mok'nathals in midnight or last titan.
Probably would change most of my orcs to mok'nathal.![]()
....because it's more than likely that they're just Stormwind Human models. Especially when they designed their armor to cover their entire faces. Concept art for a new races is done long before new transmogs. They're showing the transmog because they don't look any different from vanilla humans.

I am a little on the edge there, I mean I kinda have the same feeling as you, that they won't be super different, but there is still a chance that we just didn't see the correct models yet. The face hiding, could be a thing ye.. I hope not honestly.

Only fair.. they deserve it imo.
I was kinda into the whole https://wowpedia.fandom.com/wiki/Gorian_Empire stuff in wod tbh, idk if you liked these Ogres, but I thought they had a great sense of style. The updated moonkin animations, which is basically that of an Ogre, is hopefully a hint to playable Ogres. That being ssaid, we shouldn't forget about the rexxar model either.

The armor looks like concept art showing off the sets, not so much "this is the race" but "this is the player armor aesthetics".
The Dream patch had artwork for its special sets that was similar. It was even on four humans vs four night elves. The focus is the armor, not the race.

Taurens lorewise are much bigger. But in Vanilla devs shrink them so they could fit into doors. They are Indeed monsters strength wise.
On average, tauren are towering, with females standing at 9 feet in height while males reach 10 feet.[78] Tauren are roughly a foot shorter in-game, likely due to game limitations such as too small doorways

You seem to have missed the point it was during a presentation *about* the races. And they didn't show anything but transmogs. Why tf would they be showing transmogs instead of concept art, like they did with the Nerubians? Because its not a new race at all: It's just generic humans. Kul Tirans have a more unique physiology that is explained in the lore: These Arathi humans don't.
Kul Tirans aren’t any different physiology from normal humans that’s something fans want by saying they are mixed with Drust but blizzard them selfs said they just wanted big and small models to work it.
From what little we see of the Arathi they are likely the same with fat normal and skinny models as we already saw a fat one as a dungeon boss in the trailer.
Evil only wins when it spreads. It can cause destruction, it can cause death—but those are consequences of its nature, not its victory. Not its goal. The danger of evil, the purpose of evil, is that it causes those who would oppose it to become evil also.

I doubt they will ever add the skinny people because once one race gets alternate body options, then the can of worms is opened for every single race as that expectation is there. There would need to be some kind of faction that is only skinny people (the Alteraci idea has always been funny)
And yes, people WILL ask for fat Gnomes and skinny Goblins. And skinny Pandas. Think about how many races are in WoW vs Other MMOs and how many options the fans would then expect.

Given the Earthen for TWW, I'm expecting the reverse for Midnight, a neutral Horde-ish race that's available to both. Could be an elf but my bet?
Amani trolls. They're located up there too, after all.
(Watch it be another elf race though)
Humans are the most popular and important race in the Warcraft franchise. Not all races are equal and Humans in this case have no equal.
Humans deserve both thin and fat options because of that simple fact. Panda/Goblin/Gnome are irrelevant races who naturally aren't held to the same standard as Humans.
the lack of any kind of retail related news is getting kinda annoying. their secrecy feels pointless
You're not going to like what the topic after this mystery minor patch goes well is going to be.
The Anti-Datamining crew will take that red meat like no tomorrow, hah.
Obviously if it goes poorly thats' a whole 'nother story though.
In all seriousness, I would've preferred if it was a Mystery Major patch instead for this experiment. It just feels like peoples' expectations were getting the best of them with a Minor Patch being made secret.

I no longer reply to quotations beyond if you're asking a genuine question or have a non-confrontational stance.
