My big fear is that we'll just see another horse. Alternatively, it could be Scarlet Crusade themed. A left behind warhorse. They're going hard with the Scarlet items on the Trading Post, so who knows. I think you're right about the sword and shield being the transmogs, although maybe we'll see some more to span all classes.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that the people that wrote the Forsaken lobbing plague bombs into Gilneas City to reclaim it probably did not write a storyline that is going to be well received by any party.

Cata was a long time ago.

I'm talking about the preview video for 10.2.5 that just went up, where they show the Forsaken sending plague bombs against the Scarlets in Gilneas City. Hilariously, the Forsaken get more screentime in that trailer than the Gilneans.

What you don’t think “we filled your home with even more plague making it unliveable but here you can have it back” is a good idea?
All I ever wanted was the truth. Remember those words as you read the ones that follow. I never set out to topple my father's kingdom of lies from a sense of misplaced pride. I never wanted to bleed the species to its marrow, reaving half the galaxy clean of human life in this bitter crusade. I never desired any of this, though I know the reasons for which it must be done. But all I ever wanted was the truth.

Well, I guess the meat of the lead in quests for 11.0 will come in 10.2.7. Looks like we'll just get some more of the post Amirdrassil celebration questline.

Regarding the Dragonflight Epilogue quests in 10.2.5, patch notes state:

A small quest chain where players join the Aspects as they reflect on the events of Dragonflight and look to the future, are introduced to the new night elf city of Bel’ameth, and can stay awhile and listen to the conversations of key characters throughout Valdrakken.

What do you expect? There wasn't much that made the WoW Forsaken interesting in the first place, mainly because their very existence in WoW was a mistake caused by the Devs not knowing the Forsaken and Scourge were separate entities, but now they are truly the most shallow race imaginable.

The Forsaken are now pretty much just a comic supervillain group that uses blight and poison for fun in every storyline, but clearly the writers no longer treat this seriously as they did in WotLK-Cataclysm. The Modern Forsaken are pretty much just a shallow, pathetic comic relief race and token evil representation.

A far cry from their WC3 version (Sylvanas included).

I can see them doing that tho, I mean rolling can turn left and right. It could use a stop roll animation without the kun fu hands, but for the rest? Think about that boss in the furnace (wod one).. the Boss that looks like a gremlin and rolls around, exactly that.

    I hope as well!

I have seen, but a single picture of some scarlet corpses, Il keep it a surprise for myself.

Anyway I am ready for more!

It being a single mount(?) does point to it being Scarlet, but it would be cool if it was a Gilneas horse for Alliance and a new undead horse (we have never gotten a new model AFAIK) for Horde.

  10. #60250
Now this is super unlikely, but what if the mount is the Gilneas stagecoach people have been wanting since cata?

    A man can dream

Besides that, I can't think of any other Gilneas themed things that could work as a mount besides just a horse or maybe a dynamic flying Gilneas themed gryphon?

Mmmm, now that I think of it, there was a really interesting shot of a Scarlet digging up a grave and a priest (?) near him casting some light spell.

It'd be interesting if Scarlets are attempting to raise the dead with the light a la Calia, even though they hate her. This is quite the stretch, but some sort of speculation is needed here!

I don't think so.. One being that Calia was a special case, the other being is that it goes against everything the Scarlet Crusade built itself to be (even though most of it was lead by a now deceased Dreadlord.) They wouldn't try to use necromancy, but they would revive those that fell in combat like with Whitemane.

It sounds more like they're trying to prepare a funeral service and maybe sanctifying the ground so that the Scourge or Forsaken* don't raise anymore dead. (*Even though the Forsaken don't have Sylvanas's Val'kyrs, so it limits their options in how to raise the dead and increase their ranks.)

Was hoping it would be more than that tbh as the image they showed regarding the questline had Vyranoth and Iridikron which made me think we might learn more about what he is doing.

I would say the opposite. It being a single mount points to it being a proper Gilnean Horse, rather than the basic model horses we got in Cataclysm after complaints only Horde actually got any reputation mounts.

It's good that Blizzard is starting to even the scales between Worgen and Goblin (their ACTUAL and intended counterpart/rival).

Goblin immediately got their own town in Azshara after their intro questline, while the Worgen got relegated to some random tree in Darnassus. Which also got destroyed and the Worgen just became refugees in Stormwind.

Goblin also got an entire zone dedicated to them, Azshara, while the Worgen didn't. The Worgen got funnelled into Northern Kalimdor and the Silverpine Forest questline with the Gilnean Liberation Front was Horde only (one of the most egregious examples of Horde bias from Cataclysm, as acknowledged even by the Devs).

Goblin also got their own unique car mount, while the Worgen initially didn't even have a mount and Blizzard threw a bone with a random horse without a saddle.

Now, it only took them about 14 years, but finally the Worgen will have their own town, and it looks like they will have their own unique mount too.

And while the new Gilnean questline obviously won't be on the level of an entire zone like Azshara, it's a start.

Finally some balance, but there is still work to be done to truly have balance between Worgen and Goblin.

I hope they will reopen Undercity too, "big reclaiming" of Lordaeron in 9.2.5 was just taking Brill and clearing gas.

They could recolour the Worgen PvP mount they made a few years ago for the saddle.

Should the entire Undercity be retaken though? Wouldn't it make more sense to distance themselves from Sylvanas by leaving that part behind, and instead focus on infrastructure above ground?

I kinda felt this was the natural direction of the new look Forsaken. If they're going to live, they'll do so without hiding what they are. I'd be curious to see this happen, whenever this would happen. We'll get some breadcrumbs of it in the Gilneas Reclaimation questline I'd hope.
