right so you are setting your expectations for it being something big because theyve never done this mystery patch shit before, and i am setting MY expectations because its still a minor patch. we're basically doing the same thing with different premises. hope this helps!

Only, your premise doesn't make sense.

You think this patch will only have a catch-up system and some random filler questline about pirates, but this is irrelevant stuff doesn't warrant a mystery campaign.

My premise makes sense (Blizzard doing mystery campaign because this patch will have cool/unpredictable feature); your premise does not make sense (Blizzard doing mystery campaign because this patch will have catch-up system and maybe a random new questline, which is the ordinary and expected).

oh cool, youre assuming what i think itll be. i never once said thats what itll be. I actually think itll be a patch zone like forbidden reach with some fun borrowed power system similar to the annulet to make season 4 easy and fun. Thats been my take for a long time. But good job just randomly assuming you know what im thinking, you couldnt be more wrong

That is not important enough to warrant a milking mystery campaign.

like you said, this is unprecedented, so thats just youre ascribed value on what you think is "enough to warrant it". Everyone has opinions bro, including you. This is one of them. cheers

A longer-than-usual communications pause after a poorly received patch is not a great look, but considering that the 10.2.7 stuff is ALREADY IN THE FILES (or at least a good portion: Timerunning and the heritage quest NPCs are in 10.2.5) and not 10.2.6, they must be banking that the contents are worth the dip.

So when do we start talking about how the big Microsoft/Xbox news will impact WoW? Will it at all?

If you're referring to the potential of no more Xbox, then it could possibly kill off the WoW on console debate.

Where this patch was "poorly received"? In Asmongold comment section?

But yeah, all these teasing for minor patch is starting to be ridicolous. Maybe I'll eat my words, but I don't think it can be something grand either, window for PTR is geting smaller every week since we expect patch mid/late March. And looking at Diablo 4, I don't want WoW ever to drop PTR phase.

While follower dungeons are indeed good tech, and dragonriding in the old world is great, the main gameplay features of the patch (Epilogue and Gilneas) were lambasted for being either too short and/or poor quality. Also the patch is riddled with bugs.

It is easily the worst-received patch this expansion.

I speculate that they must do something with the 3 day early access fiasco. It's an ethical barrier for a lot of people and it must be addressed one way or another officially (if it's not just silently removed from the packages).

I personally am on the fence if I will even play so for people like myself it's a real deciding factor because it's that little thing that pushes over the edge in feeling this is an unethical business that doesn't need support.

After a whole expansion who's most vocal criticism is making new zones instantly irrelevant, imagine them adding a new zone after the expansion's epilogue & not even tied to a tier: Easily making the fastest irrelevant zone, ever, in the history of wow.

    ?

If they add a zone with 10.2.6 it will still be relevant for the last months of season 3 aswell as the whole of season 4, basically making it a timeless isle 2.0.

What fiasco? The early access is fine lol, it would be a bigger shitshow if they revert it.

Reckon there will be 10.2.6 news tonight?

The wait is getting silly at this point.

This. I haven't heard anybody complain about early access since a few days after it dropped.

Yeah, and honestly, it's so weird that some people want Blizzard to not deliver on promised perks of something .... like, why would you ever want that oO. It's like people buying a kickstarter and being angry that the extra goodies get unlocked or something.
