Yes, not just because they already said they were warry about splitting the pop with more servers & game modes, I think anyone whom a new seasonal retail event would appeal to is already playing Season of Discovery. But that wouldn't be the first time Blizzard makes a baffling decision.

It would appeal to me because I just deleted my SoD characters and Classic client. Shits too slow for me and I hated having no flying and running everywhere on shit I already did 4-5 times back in 2005-2007

I'll gladly take a new seasonal/hardcore mode on the retail client for something different to do sometimes.

Blizzard liked to use features/experimentd across all their games

You had arcade/mutators/brawls in ow, sc2, hots and hs to keep each week fresh.

Today, they are adding special events/mid season features. In d4 they put abbatoir of Zir and some holidays events.

In Ow2 we had the hacked event for weekend and in this season, we will have double trouble.

They'll probably have it to where your abilities do less damage and earned in some new way along with enemies that hit harder and have new abilities.

If they're smart they'll give us 10.2.7, S4 and Alpha news all in one go tonight.

There is literally nothing smart about revealing all your cards at once. Especially 10.2.7 that is 3rd thing in the queue, not even counting all Alpha and classic stuff.

Of course, it would have to be either combined with some new game mode or part of world isolated and fully modified - even if you simply buff whole world there will be ton of easier quests or straight up free XP across 9 expansions.

Actually yeah. Wiping in lfr amirdrassil is a lot like wiping in molten core, only getting to 60 in classic takes a lot longer than getting to 70 in retail.

So I overhyped myself today thinking the Dev Update blog post was on the 13th (US), while I'm on the 14th (AU). Didn't realize they were going to post anything on the 13th; so I got home and was looking at MMO-Champ and was like, <insert orangutan meme> "Where blog?"
