They didnt delay it? They never specified the time and blog posts have released throughout the day many times before(for example SoD P2). I'm super critical of Blizzard in general but blaming them for things they never said and you guys just assumed is something else.

But they looked at the success of SOD and overreacted. SoD was a fluke, not the norm, keep the secretive nonsense in SoD.

The Sombra mystery from Overwatch back in 2016 was done so much better.

Classic? The game version that is pretty much done and requires very little dev time? No.

Not really that, but the audience of Retail is more varied and less hardcore so they don't feel as attached to community expectations because so many players straight up don't go on forums/know when news usually drops.

The blog is either scheduled for later for more eyes on it, or "it's done when it's ready"

the community has been openly frustrated about the lack of news. 1 and 2pm est are the expected times for news because thats typically when they post news, the vast majority of the time. they know people are expecting news at those times. if we wanna be technical here they are 9 weeks late on the news. whether or not its intentional , or if they think its cute , or if they just screwed something up, its not a good look, and it certainly does not instill confidence that they've learned anything from this ordeal.

The devs that make SOD are the ones that have played and continue to play wow, it's why SoD is great. Retail devs play final fantasy and that's why it has taken a serious nose dive.
