I hope that with the Draenei heritage quest we could get an HD version of the Hammer of the Naaru.
A toy to give us a permanent gift of the Naaru like how the orcs have banners would be cool.
Saw someone mention a toy to turn them into a vigilant would be neat too since they share Draenei animations - but doubt it’ll happen.
The other possibility that I remembered a few months ago that dataminers found a whole bunch of old classic items making a return, but didn't show where they were earned or dropped from.
Or again, it might be a collaborative project between WoW and Sea of Thieves.. all those emojis (including the Chicken and Drumstick) are stuff from Sea of Thieves.
I don't love the idea of franchise crossovers because they can really cheapen an experience, but it's been done pretty well with Diablo which despite being another Blizzard IP doesn't really have anything aesthetically in common with WoW, so I'm hopeful it could be done without feeling like we're playing Fortnite.
I figured, but if it is an event that anyone with a WoW account can participate, it might be something to entice Sea of Thieves players to jump over. And they (Sea of Thieves that is) themselves have done a lot of cross IP collaborations with stuff from Xbox and Rareware.. along with the one time they collaborated with Monkey Island.
Sea of Thieves being a Microsoft IP is actually a very good point.
But realistically, the backlash they will get from it being a crossover would be monumental though.
But your duty to Azeroth is not yet complete. More is demanded of you... a price the living cannot pay.
That crossover was just a reference in a barely noticeable quest most players didn't know existed. The Sea of Thieves crossover would in his case be massively hyped up by having not only a patch, but a patch the developers have deliberately made exciting by hiding information.
If the patch was originally plainly advertised as a Sea of Thieves crossover then I imagine it would be welcomed more fondly than if we get it now after so much buildup.
The world revamp dream will never die!
Which is why I'm still suspicious if it has anything to do with Sea of Thieves. Does SoT have any unique branding that would even indicate to people who haven't played it that anything they do in WoW is in fact, a crossover promotion? They definitely not going to invent an entire sailing mechanic to resemble anything in that game.At the time that branded sunflower pet received more hype from the community than anything else in Cataclysm. Why are you assuming it would be that? What would that even look like? There aren't even any iconic SoT characters because everything in the game is randomly generated. (Oh my god it's SHARON NOLASTNAME ICONIC SHOPKEEPER FROM THE FRANCISE SEA OF THEIVES) Is this going to be like PUBG trying to trademark a frying pan?
Even if it is a Sea of Thieves crossover it's just going to be a island expedition rehash or a pirate reskin of Azerothian archives aka proto-delves.

One thing I think is interesting about the "pirate patch" is that the 2nd expansion of this year for Hearthstone looks very tropical themed. I know these two games have not had a full crossover ye6. But in the same breathe, I wouldn't be too suprised if we get soemthing like Plunder Island in WoW and in HS.

So in the absence of news, did anyone figure out their Warband "Camp" alts yet?
Going with the lore of War Within or something else when deciding?
The good thing about having two accounts - I'll be able to use two different camps!
My main camp will be my Blood Elf Dark Ranger, Blood Elf Death Knight, Dracthyr Evoker aswell as my Human Warrior. If we can get a fifth it will be either my Night Elf Druid or my Human Mage.
On my second account I'll prolly have a Dwarf Shaman, Nightborne Monk, Void Elf Rogue and I guess my Earthen?
