Not bad though I'm not huge on it, but glad it can dragonride. I'm really optimistic about the mounts that can do so in TWW. I saw on twitter that the Hearthstone compass rose mount has dragonriding capabilities (though not active), which is something I hadn't expected.
6 weeks fomo event lol nice. And I bet dollars to donuts they extend it when more people start to complain, which begs the question - what were they thinking?
Oh for fucks sake... it is a damn battle royale... really?
Not a cool PvE event, no, just another Tarrens Mill vs South shore event, in essence.
....
On the bright side. It is not group based or faction based PvP. More like the Gurubashi arena. And it uses it's own gameplay systems, instead of the normal classes. This could actually make PvP a bit more bareable compared to random BGs. No longer flaming the own group, Just you alone (or with a friend), against all others...
And the rewards look juicy, that pirate outfit!
Unlike most Battle Royales, this one isn't a first person/third person shooter type and seems to play more like Rumbleverse which was the only Battle Royale that didn't go the shooter route and made it into a big fighting/wrestling game.
But if any of those WoW characters starts hitting the griddy, flossing, or twerking then I'll quit WoW for good... There are some lines that shouldn't be crossed.
around 500 plunder per game
2500 plunder for 1 renown level
This is kinda insane...they want us to spam this for weeks...

Looks like they are adding a bunch of unused recolors for the Dragon Isles mounts as well as outdoor zone achievements.
This is not what I expected.
Excited that they're open to taking bold moves, disappointed this is the direction. Not what I'd have wanted, but I'll still play for sure!
Can't help but wish a lot of this time and energy went into other situations that are directly conneccted to the main game. I'm sure it'll be fun, but contrasting it with the disappointment of things like 10.2.5 and the Gilneas questlines, it's just a shame that some of the bigger things that could be a part of the main world and lore didn't get this kind of attention. Hopefully that changes with future iterations.
Ashes of Creation made an MMO battle royale to test their systems, but it's true, most of the BR games are shooter focused.
I think, this event can easier be thought of as a Gurubashi Arena/ these PvP World Quest free for all arenas. Just, a whole zone, and actual rewards for it.
That's unfortunately what happens when a dev team is split between three expansions. We can only hope that questlines that should be that big aren't post-expac content anymore because there aren't enough resources for them.
They picked the wrong thing to be filler content.
