Event is fun, but...200+ games fun? Not sure about that. The renown rate is extremely slow.

I know it's different teams, but it's really making some of the patch event content look rough. Can only imagine this style of play but for current content.

IE Plunderstorm as Gilneas Reclaimation.

Instead of parrots diving in, you're flung in via plague barrel.

Everyone is "infiltrating" the Scarlet Crusade, which would allow the free-for-all aspect. Scarlets are main mobs, but plenty of others are scattered. Ettins, rebel undead, etc. The renown track is something like Scarlet Turncloaks, the renown track which awards Scarlet transmog is "reclaimed supplies". Could be similar to Helldivers major orders, the amount of mobs killed, games played, etc., slowly turns the dial for the reclaimation, which then unlocks the final questline.

yeah, 10.0 and 10.2 aside this event shits on every other patch released in dragonflight in terms of effort and depth

So like, anyone else notice that the "shoes" from the blood troll transmog now have bands around the ankles? I assume these were supposed to be there the whole time and they just fixed them or something?

Please tell me I'm not crazy. I literally transmogged to them last night and there were no bands.

EU is still on 10.2.5 and there are bands on the Blood Troll "shoes".



Naturally, the feet portion of the texture doesn't show on races that don't use feet textures (Tauren, Draenei, Worgen and ironically Trolls).

I really like the usage of the NPCs in Plunderstorm mainly for their sets. It'd be nice to see a lot more NPCs using trading post sets and feel really integrated in the world.

We will hear about S4 this week probably, I assume with a PTR on Thursday. I think S4 will be after about 6 weeks. 10.2.7 will probably go on the PTR a couple of weeks before S4 launches and I think we are seeing Alpha as soon as Plunderstorm is done as well.

Honestly I am often disappointed when they make no effort to dress up important NPCs so they look cooler. I am still annoyed every time I remember who basic Malygos' visage looked.

Or like all 75% of the dragon themed expansion with Merithra (the daughter of a former Aspect, current Aspect) wearing I think Wrath tier gear. I don't think every NPC needs a custom model, but it would be cool to see some of them have really cool transmog sets.

That being said, as a Nightborne main, I feel a knife in my heart every time I look at the Nightborne Expedition Guards with their recolored and custom tailored Legion PvP gear. I would die for it.

Yeah, it's not like they need a custom model. Use something recent (Legion and after or maybe Challenge Dungeon gear from MoP). Add one of the myriad of particle effects that are already available for NPCs. Give them a cool looking weapon.

Not even counting the fact that they have the ability to combine armor types.

That being said, there have been some better dressed NPCs in Dragonflight.

The Dragonscale Expedition has some great looking Nightborne, Blood Elf, Kul Tiran and Dwarven members.

The researchers all wearing the same cloth robe.... not so much.

I would say that, if 10.1.5 didn't have a enormous buttload of content. Warlocks for everyone, Time Rifts, Augmentation & Megadungeon.

Hey Plunderers... Can anyone explain why if you turn around at the waiting room spawnpoint it looks like pandaria is squished right up next to Arathi. There isn't supposed to be a landmass there.

Yeah they should double the speed imo. Half a bar of renown. A whole bar or even 2 if you win.

Yeah, alpha should be within a few weeks after they get Season 4 PTR up and running. Likely about a month away from now. I was initially hoping back during blizzcon that Alpha would be early March. We are looking at potentially only a 4.5 month beta period if the game releases in late August. Likely late September though imo with an August prepatch. They will have around 4 months to get class balance done and ready for prepatch.

apparently not. i played 20 or so games, had no lag, ran into no bugs, didnt get disconnected, no frame drops.
