There is just something about it. Might also be all the small annoyances to me. How you have to hear your ghost crying after you die, how you need to go through a loading screen to see someone else before you can actually leave. etc.

Almost certainly just me being petty about not winning as well, but still.

Just keep it going, even if you die your MMR will just go down so you may have it easier. Btw, I had a few games today were I had to wait between 1-5 minutes to get into the lobby, guess that's the downside of the MMR fix.

Do we get any rewards in Retail for winning the matches, or is it just the tabard/eye patch for your next match?

There's one thing that really affected my normal retail experience after playing plunderstorm - no ability to double jump on every character.

Double jump and permanent glide are the reasons why I play DH. Every other class is literally unplayable.

It is just so fun to have such mobility skills and being able to jump from everywhere without having to worry about dying.

Just the tabard/eye patch thingy for the next match, and the FoS achievement for retail.

I wonder what the reason is the titles besides Plundeord aren't unlocked in retail. Do they have plans for those titles ingame?

They probably didnt want to have too many titles at once, so they just picked the most prestigious one to give to players.

we need TWW hype, super weak cinematics and no discussions. I remember the times when the BFA cinematic came out, the hype and discussion did not subside until the release of expansion.

If they really want to make a hype trilogy, they chose the wrong path

They are playing it carefully because they want to fill out the content draught for DF. The second Alpha drops is basically the real "end" of DF even if 10.2.7 and Season 4 exists.

So they are going to milk it for probably one more month and then full steam ahead to TWW.

Well but honestly, without plunderstorm there wouldn't be anything to milk right now. Season 4 will be just the normal fated season and the rewards aren't all that special this time around, not gonna lie. It's ok and I'll play it, but it's nothing compared to the alpha hype the game would need right now. Alpha news for sure will bring more people back into the game than any season 4 goodies.

I don't think I'm alone in saying I would have happily traded Plunderstorm & whatever tf Timerunning is for Tuskarr & Gnoll allied races. And I really like Plunderstorm.

But they are done by two different teams I guess. It's not like we lost Tuskarr because they did any of the events. My guess is they will use Tuskarr together with Vrykul for TLT? And Ethereals and Naga for Midnight. TWW can bring in Nerubians in a later patch too.

Gnolls, similiar to Centaurs never had models on par with player models, unlike Tuskarr, imo.

Where you land in the start (and how alone you are) really seems to be the most important part of Plunderstorm
I am surprised we are not getting PTR this week, I thought it was pretty much certain. have we seen any movement in them deploying builds?

It's possible, but I think they aren't going to do it because then they would be unlockable (because AR), and there are no more DF quests left.

I mean, it could just get the same treatment as LoL's Arena mode.

It will remain a time-limited event, but return every 4 months or so with new balance changes/additions/updates/cosmetics, etc.

It’s not a terrible idea per se but for a BR event with a track it’s too short. The shortest season I’ve seen for this type of gameplay reward system is 60 days.

apparenty sbellular is going to release some data to prove that wow is back at legion level numbers tomorrow. he also said that retail is well below legion levels and that classic is a large chunk of the playerbase

thoughts? I expect some shady ass numbers and a lot of drama.

also, he said "peak legion launch numbers" so probably meant the start of the expansion

Personally don’t see Gnolls being an AR, don’t think we’ve had any non-hostile gnolls this xpac but I could be wrong.

I’d love to see Drakonid ARs though. Would make sense via the whole Drakonid rebellion storyline & them being granted some more freedom.
