seems like "this week in wow" is a thing of the past now.
i got baited so hard by that article i thought it was alpha HAHAA

Exploring Azeroth states that there are still Drakkari roaming around, so there seem to be surviving ones.
I think with the Zandalari and Bwonsamdi in our fold and with what we learned in Shadowlands, I think Blizz could cook up a nice story about resurrecting their dead loa/finding new ones and re-establishing a new Zul'drak

Definitely going to be something involving Iridikron, probably his lair which is somewhere beneath northrend.
Wouldn't be surprised if we got an actual Azjol'Nerub zone be it a patch zone like Zaralek, or added on as part of the revamp.
There'll definitely be some stuff dealing with remnants of the scourge and the lich king. Would be cool to have ICC revamped as a mega-dungeon or maybe re-do some of the ICC dungeons for M+. (super excited to see what they do with ICC visually in a modern, dynamic flight era world)
Obviously more vrykul stuff.
Almost certainly something big with Ulduar. Id bet the final raid when the titans actually come down and whatever their terrible secret is revealed (or whatever it was Metzen said about them at blizzcon)
Maybe the end of TLT we'll fight against the titans and maybe to save ourselves from them we'll do something with Yoggy's corpse that spurs a return of the old gods that leads into whatever is next.
considering its size and where its situated, I could see Wintergrasp updated to be a hub
I think Wyrmrest will be the natural hub. DF was the introduction to the new storyline, Iridikron is bound to show up and if we are facing the Titans, it is all hands on deck. Wyrmrest is close to the middle of Northrend
Also beta opt in when they already sold beta access? I am just not sure they will be able to serve that. I remember some people only got in beta for MoP in the last 2 months. This beta is likely going to be shorter and they have a legal obligation to who knows how many paying customers.
I feel like Wymrest is too small to be a "Hub city" its just one tower and not a very big one at that, you could fit the entire tower inside the Valdrakken tower

Curve-ball - the hub is Strand of the Ancients

I think they will do something in Borean Tundra, maybe the two faction areas are made much larger. Dragonblight would be too repetitive and it's PROBABLY not a mega-Dalaran, but it could be.
