Actually looking forward to the new Noblegarden events btw. I hope the new boss can conjure a swarm of ducklings that "stampede" over us.

This is one of the things that keeps me from switching mains. My main has literally done every single quest in WoW. If I see a quest, I have to do it. When I pop in an alt and see all those quests it just makes that character feel less grounded in the world because they haven't been there! But that's my struggle
I'm all for LGBTQ rights, but I still hope they don't put Pride month in WoW. I see it more like an important example of activism rather than a holiday in the traditional sense. Would break my immersion too much. Next we'd have people campaigning to get all sorts of causes represented in the game.
I noticed on the new Noblegarden post that the duck model is flying like a flight form/dream owl, did they always do that?
Maybe a new duck flight form?
I'm gay and don't want a Pride holiday in WoW. Not only does it represent some gay people really poorly(as in not at all), but I also want more fantasy and less real life in WoW.
You really just didn't understand his point at all and proceeded to immediately accuse him of (self) hatred. Congrats.
Anyway events tied to IRL celebrations always felt out of place. I dont think theyll ever do a new holiday as its already pretty packed and some of them are still pretty outdated but if they do it should be one that is actually tied to something that happened in the warcraft universe.

I'm a gay person and I do want a pride holiday in WoW. Because the idea of it being immersive died years ago, so if I'm going to hang with my queer friends I'd love to have some pets or transmog or some repeatable goofy holiday content. Funny how opinions work huh?
Tikki tikki tembo, Usagi no Yojimbo, chari bari ruchi pip peri pembo!
Yeah I do not see why we cannot have a Pride event in WoW at this point. Immersion died in this game many years ago. Specifically in the Uldum questline, what a joke.
And even if WoW were still treating its own lore and world with respect, I think that they could still do a Pride event properly linked to the game.
Do not take life too seriously. You will never get out of it alive.
I would love to see Pride in wow!
But given wows playerbase scews older and conservative, idk whether the shitstorm and harassment that comes with it would be worth it.

I think (most) of the old holidays work fine. Because you could argue there's something universal about Christmas, for example. Pagans celebrated the winter solstice long before there were Christmas trees and presents.
You could see things like that and a celebration of the summer solstice, or a harvest festival, as something very universal in human culture. That also means it'd make sense in a fantasy setting that draws inspiration from our shared history.
That said, I'm all for the implementation of new holidays that seem even more natural on Azeroth.
