I to see stuff related to the Earthen DK and why exactly that is possible.

I hope for some fur kilts, skull belts for all races transmogs in next expansion datamining.

Also fur mantles as chest or shoulder options.

So for hunter we could get a dark ranger set for the first tier (maybe more after Nathanos than Sylvanas though since Midnight will hopefully give us more bloodelf themed sets anyways), an orc-styled pack leader set for the 2nd and another night elf sentinel set for the third raid?
That certainly possible. Though I imagine it's equally likely it will just be a Hero class themed set fro the first raid, but with various recolours to hint at the different specs.

So hunter might get one that is purple and gold (sentinel) red and black (pack leader/rexxar) and black/grey (dark ranger).

Though I guess we will see. The idea of one hero spec themed set from each raid is good, but I somehow doubt it will be as clear cut for every class regardless. Some like Evokers don't really have anything specific to be themed after, except maybe sand themed for Chronomancer, which could just be a tint on any given Evoker set.
The world revamp dream will never die!

Could just be non-Dorn earthen that were raised amongst the Allied races? Iirc that's how the Goblin and Worgen DKs were explained in the starting zone - they were members of the race but not part of the faction that the other playable classes belong to.

I don't think that's possible because AFAIK the Dorne earthen are special and look like they do uniquely, they aren't just a case of "this is what Earthen always looked like". They may do that though.

I very well expect the Earthen's new look to be a soft retcon, especially leading into The Last Titan. Depending on the trajectory of the Earthen of Dorn during TWW, the expanded look could allow for more worldbuilding around them to aid the story telling of TLT. I personally wouldn't mind it.

A pride holiday in wow wouldn't be a politically driven event called "Pride Month", it would be an in-universe equivalent where Azerothians would celebrate pride-adjacent things.

Just like every other holiday we have.

Azerothians are a very diverse bunch of people, it wouldn't be out of the ordinary for them to go about and celebrate some "Festival of many colors" or whatever where they celebrate their social diversity and self-expression.
Why would they celebrate social diversity and self-expression as if it's ever been a problem on Azeroth? IRL it's been done because of that.

The only way any of this would make sense in WoW was if they celebrated the diversity of races (not colour) across all of Azeroth, not skin colour or sexual orientation/gender. Especially since in-lore that has actually been an issue even if they pretend it's not anymore.

Waiting for the This week in WoW, can be interesting (or maybe it's a public holiday today too in US ?)

are we going to get a "this week in wow" today? i don't expect much because it's a sod week, but would still be nice to see if there are some surprises

Varian's gladiator armor set up in the game shop until the end of the month.

Also since last week's "This week in WoW" went through today, April 1st, I figure we're getting the next one tomorrow.

The only problem is the assumption that Bolvar isn't making more Death Knights. I guess he would still be making them to fight the new scourge. Or they give them an entirely new starting point in reference to their Titan origins.

How is he making them though? No Helm anymore.

Out of all the Taivan achievements, Scroll Hunter was one of the easiest. Took me like an hour of grinding in a group finder group. There's even an item you can buy that dramatically increases the droprate. What's the issue?

Is he even a death knight without the helm? I guess he would be as he still controls the Ebon Blade, but did we see him use any DK powers in Shadowlands? I don't remember.

Id be interested to see what hes up to these days. Hopefully hanging out with his daughter and consulting a burn specialist plastic surgeon.

Yeah, internet is mostly useless on April 1st and at this point it's just tired and old.

  17. #64877
It would be cool if they did a post-timeskip deep dive on the Ebon Blade and how they exist on Northrend, how they still have their powers, their connection to the SL, etc. There may be some of that in The Last Titan but there are so many things to juggle there I think DKs will get the short end of the stick.

    Agreed on April 1st.

Corporations and content creators feel forced to tag along, while consumers hate it. I don't know why we can't collectively decide to just drop it.

It was mildly funny when you were a kid and it was kept between you and family or friends. "Haha, got you!"

Now it's literally just fake announcements of cool shit you wish was real, and a pause in the real news for an entire day.

Agree, None of that makes sense in the world of Azeroth, unless you bring in the real life stuff, which basically happens automatically with this. It would be the purpose also.

Truth. It's the most obnoxious time of the year. Especially if you're in Australia where you basically have to sit through two of them. Although I think it's been generally tamer this year.
