Agree, None of that makes sense in the world of Azeroth, unless you bring in the real life stuff, which basically happens automatically with this. It would be the purpose also.

Truth. It's the most obnoxious time of the year. Especially if you're in Australia where you basically have to sit through two of them. Although I think it's been generally tamer this year.

A typical misconception that the magic of the helm was necessary in making death knights. You're forgetting that there were deathknights before the lich king. While the helm & frostmorne certainly helped, it isn't the only way to make an undead knight. Though in setting any new death knights must become so consensually. The Bfa allied races intro implies it was consensual & is mostly neutral to its timeframe. Or if they wanted to take the goblin & worgen route they might just say these were un-awoken Earthen from northrend or stormheim.

Sure but you still need a master necromancer or powerful necromantic magic in general. I am not sure Bolvar has that, all he ever did was channel the Helm's power. Perhaps the 4 Horsemen together can manage to create new DKs. I'd think anything above zombies and skeletons takes a lot of juice.

  6. #64886
I mean the DK's in Acherus are being raised by generic no-named necromancers, you dont need to be a giant powerful uber necromancer to raise a corpse.

As far as Earthen are concerned, the Earthen DK can easily be Earthen from Northrend/EK. And could have been raised alongside the other allied race DK's by Bolvar pre-shadowlands. After the war in Northrend and then the legion invasion Im sure there'd be a few dead earthen around. And while ya, they arent mortal, using shadow/death/domination magic to reanimate or control the stone body of an earthen would be simple enough. Sorta like how in Drustvar, the drust had wicker constructs powered by shadow/death magic that had drust souls stuck into them

That could work, but there's one problem.. These Earthen aren't from Northrend, they are supposed to be different than the average Earthen that we've met that are only found in Khaz Algar...

That's why we pointed out Worgen & Goblin: Those have different cultural origins than normal goblin & worgen players. Presumably, Earthen DK wouldn't start in Dorne with the rest of them (Did we actually get a list of races they can be yet? EDIT: Okay, they can be everything but Evokers, Druids & Demon Hunters.)

I guess that makes sense, but I guess we'll have to find out what exactly makes these Earthen different from the ones we've seen thus far. My only bet is that they aren't affiliated with the Titans or at least broke off from them to form their own society but without the Curse of Flesh.. which only raises the question of how they broke free from the start.

  10. #64890
I mean, we know they are still devoted to the titans. The Oathsworn were stated are fervent followers of the titans and their edicts and control the main capital city. And the Machine speakers maintain and make sure all the titan facilities and machines underground stay in top condition etc.

  11. #64891
These Earthen have distinct political groups (Edict-followers, Independent, and Machine-focused) and, per Blizzcon, have a distinct "empowerment" through Azeroth (maybe due to their close location to Silithus).

I can see these Earthen models being retconned to be what they always meant to look like, but at the same time, Blizzcon did say they are special in a way.

That is except for the Unbound, who went against the Titans teachings... So we have 3 different groups of Earthen, all of which have different ideologies and methods. So I'm guessing we have to unite them under a single banner or one of them is evil and cannot be trusted and we have to face them head on. (Kinda like the OG Dark Irons)

Earthens will have to just contact the barber shop goblin chiropractors.

About earthens... I really hope i will be able to use their hairstyles and beards on other dwarves..

Don't make another mistake like with orcs and mag'har orcs.

Right now they have 5 Core Race - Allied Race pairs that share models and rigs and none of them share hairstyles across the models.

Hell, apart from high elven skin tones and eyes, none of the module pairs share ANY customization options between each other.

It is very unlikely that dwarves will get anything from Earthern

So is today Easter Monday in America? We likely to get 'This Week in WoW' tomorrow seeing as it hasn't dropped today?
    By Blizzard Entertainment:
Part of the reason is that Battlegrounds are like ducks.

Easter Monday isn't a big thing in the US. If they delayed it for something it was April Fool's.

Yeah April Fool's pretty much means you cannot do announcements that day.

they put April 1st on This Week In WoW from last week, so i'd expect we get one for the rest of this week later today

I would guess timewalking loot just gets moved to normal?
because i would assume collectors edition has to ship early with the early access and i want to know "hey do i have to drop the money twice to be able to play the thing on launch with buddies" and put in pto because my boss is a cunt

i am gonna guess the time running is the pve equivalent and its just boss rush

collectors edition was two months after announcement and i need to figure out how to get that sorted for my nerd wall lol

No shot. If they do that it'll cause a lot of red flags for the other allied races, to the point where they may as well just change the whole allied race system to be subraces of the main races.
