I like how you can push them to look a bit more elven or a bit more trollish.

To be honest, why isn't Blizzard able to create new skeletons and animations? I'd love to play as a new race and finally have some change after years playing as blood elf, but all the new races use the same skeletons and they just don't feel really "new". It's such a shame.

If they become an allied race, I can see myself creating druid with this. They seem very dryad-like. At least the female one.

It had to happen eventually that Warriors got the short end of the stick. Usually they seem to get all the creativity.

DF last raid warrior set was another weird looking metal bucket set, other 2 in DF were pretty much metal too but better, not something i used but still, latest warrior set looked awful, but that's just my opinion.

Still i find it annoying as warrior main that they can't somehow imagine warrior set having some fur mantles, loincloths and such, more barbarian style theme..

Yeah.. I get they went for mountain thane helmet but it will look awful on most other races and it cuts dwarves beards, other races too it seems.

I bet you that the Arathi will mostly just be regular and KT humans. Maybe with some different ear options if they want ot make them all into half-elves. I very much doubt they will make an entirely new custom model.

See, that makes the most sense, but from my first glance at the screenshots it looks as though most if not all the Arathi are fully clothed including helmets. Which makes sense considering their culture but still made me wonder if some kind of customization pass is coming for them.

Unlockable ear options for both sets of humans would make sense too. But I could see them being considered a subrace and also unlockable. The game needs more paladin options after all.

They already had Xuen and Chi'ji from Legion (and yeah the Chi'ji one was very generic but Mythic ToS Xuen's Battlegear was solid, I still use that).

Factions and their "duty/service" lore were the biggest sticking points, outside of the expansion being disliked. Given that neutrality is now in and we are getting races that aren't as bound to their realm, everything is off the table.

Feels like one of those things that needs to be shown in-game to make sense. There is probably going to be some talk about there being elf blood in their lineage from back when they first left the Eastern Kingdoms.

I hope at least when alpha launches there will be datamined some new character customizations added to existing races or at least allied races we have so far.

Half-Elves are one of the biggest missing race options. Elrond the half-elf from LotR, Half-Elves are forever a race option in D&D (and also in teh Warcraft TTRPGS books!). And we have important half-elves coming up in Midnight (Arathor and the twins of Veressa)

Vulpera use goblin animations. The zandalari/kultiran have new animations.

Yes but the Arathi are not half-elves, they're like >one-eighth elves. Half-elves are already expressed in game as blood elves or void elves with short ears.

I'd say a pointed ear human option would cover it but Stormwind has the least elves of all the human kingdoms.

Also if these become Allied races before Tuskarr & Gnolls it would be a travesty. Tuskarr & Gnolls were in the franchise before Naga.

They have nothing we dont have yet. The last thing we need is another recolor of the same thing.
