Every achievement is gonna count account-wide for points and metas, however, they will show up as uncompleted in your achievement journal for characters that didn't do it. There will probably be a filter that toggles between character completion and warband completion (I think there is something like that already for account-wide achievements in current WoW)

Story need meaningful loses like Broken Shore to progress and remain interesting.
Literally since BfA we had too many fake ones - like defeating Mekkatorque-- oh wait he escaped, maybe Jain-- nope, Azshara? Escaped. Literally all interesting stuff happening in 8.3 - N'zoth Illusion. Then SL/DF was either completely new lore (Shadowland realms, Primalists) and when once we dealt with someone we knew - Sylvanas... she didn't die either. We only got to N'zoth and even that is contested pretty often by community, cause happened in weird nightmare realm, not him on Azeroth attacking places we know.
And it was same other way. What important good guy died since 7.0? And it was literally 8 years ago.
They said that? That would be step back for me. Jesus, every time I hope they are going full in with account wide stuff..

Yeah but I think that that's how it works today for those achievements. The hope was that all of them will be ''blue''. Minor complaint about a wonderful system I guess, but it just does not make much sense to me. Same with the restrictions about not being able to collect other classes tier sets. Do not see the point about that limitation.
Do not take life too seriously. You will never get out of it alive.

To clarify, because I left some context out: individual raid achievements will still contribute to the warband-meta achievement. It's just that they will show up as uncompleted on alts.
I honestly don't see the issue? Their reasoning is solid even if the example wasn't the greatest: If someone wants to re-do an achievement for whatever reason, they should be able to. There's no negative issue for any alts.
Whole post here: https://worldofwarcraft.blizzard.com...rbands-preview
I know people will be upset because it seems like anything but 100% shared is not good enough, but I can agree with the majority of their reasoning.

Yep. I simply don't want see ANY difference - not only meaningful - when I switch from main to alt. It's like reputations from DF and reputations in TWW - in DF beside few recipes it didn't matter on which character you got renown, but in TWW it TRULY won't matter.
So if they keep 'mark' on some achiev on which character it was done, my completionist nature will still want to do it on main. Cause I don't think anyone cares about achievement points, people do achievs for completion or specific rewards, otherwise they ignore them.
And they are sticking to character based professions. Of course no one promised us account-wide system there for 11.0, but still I don't have freedom there on my chars with established professions, cause any change would erase my progress in old expansions.
If someone wants to repeat ANYTHING in game - boss, quest, achievement - there should be way to do it, not only with alts. Everything should be for account, but everything should be possible to repeat infinitely. As I wrote somewhere before, I would make account wide even stuff like quests and story campaigns.
Of course don't get me wrong, it's not important issue. It's just dissapointing someone always stoping them from going full in.

What? They just made him a bit dorky-looking so he looks like a Dwarven teenager. Works better Durak just being a smaller adult Orc.
Exactly, he's way too nerdy to be a self-insert even for a nerdy developer, just as Nathanos was written as too much of an asshole to be a realistic self-insert for Danuser.

But your duty to Azeroth is not yet complete. More is demanded of you... a price the living cannot pay.

Yes. and No. They're talents, yeah. But the fact that they are shared between two specs, and that they supposedly dwelve deep into ONE aspect of the class, leaves them wide open to be complete failure for some people.
If you're a fury warrior and like the raw aspect of spaming your keys to hit faster, the mountain thane which remixes your spells and adds thunderclap (hence less "hit" and more "magic"), might not be your thing. And the "let's go back to whirlwind" might not suit you either. In which case you'll either go Arms (but if your kink is hitting faster and you don't like Slayer, chances are you won't like Colossus. What's left ? changing classes.
So yeah they're an extension of the talent system, but they're also a narrowing of the class gameplay / fantasy.
Do we have music in the alpha? didn't see any post about it.
