Argus in 2018 My prediction failed in part... But I'm still a Spacegoat
how r we feeling about TWW after the big news day? im more hyped than i was before, definitely. i dont see any glaring issues yet like we did with shadowlands/bfa
Are we pretending to not know what a nerd is? The tantamount effeminate but not feminine man. Trying to describe it is like trying to describe a woman, or the sky. It's an archetype as ancient as the caveman. He's a nerd. That's pretty much why I think it's a fake out. It's too much exactly what Ronin did. Khadgar is gonna teleport everyone to safety & leave himself behind, then Dalaran crashes & everyone assumes he's dead only so he can Gandalf the White at some point later into the Saga.

Blizz REALLY knocked it out of the ballpark with the Arathi gear. Good lord!
There's not a single average-or-lower looking thing that I've seen.

Part of the reason is that Battlegrounds are like ducks.
DF's gameplay and gearing system were already some of the best in WoW's history, so if TWW just brings a better setting, characters and stories on top of that gameplay it could become a top tier expansion.
I'm also liking the looks of the WW changes to the Spec talent tree. Interesting that Serenity appears to have been removed and SEF has full focus as the power-up CD.

this is the boat that im in too. It's the first time in a long time that we're essentially picking up where we left off systems-wise moving into the next expansion. Tier catalyst, gear upgrade system, the new talent trees, new professions, follower dungeons, dragonriding etc etc etc. All of this stuff had the bulk of its work done for dragonflight, and none of it is being left behind. With that foundation of development done the efforts can be focused on additional evergreen stuff, as well as improvements to those foundations that dragonflight built

At this point the systems and features are set up in a way that you really just need to change out the setting and story at a good pace, and every now and then drop in something exciting like new races, classes and gamemodes. They are on track to do that and the new timeline will be really good for keeping people from getting sick of the TWW setting.
Dalaran (and the cursory glance I had at the Dorne questline) also are like immediate nods to the new tone shift of the story. The way the "main cast" is handled is still a little wonky but the stakes are higher and the tone is a little more serious/grave.

Necrobump but I think the Magnataurs and Genesaurs walking around are going to tie into Elun'ahir and be revealed that the roots are opening up an accessway to the Lifelands that isn't strictly ordered like the Dream.
Maybe we get a Hollow Earth that is even more primal and close to the core?

Or we discover at the end of the raid the nerubians captured him. Season 2 is about learning where he is held captive and why. Season 3 is about freeing him and finding out Xalatath is using his / his power to usher in the Voidlords onto Azeroth, and voila, you have your transition into Midnight.
I'd say at the end of TWW we tell him how the knowledge of Xalatath plans helped us free him, and he answers "I told you, Knowledge is Power".
Or only an after image of him survives the arrival of the Voidlords, forcing him to live out the rest of the game as a head in a purple bubble.

It's Shadowland convenants, lite.
Always dreamt of being a dark ranger?
Too bad. You're survival or Pack Leader is the best meta spec.
Always wanted to summon a pit lord, mr. warlock? Well that sucks, cause you have to be a weird Satyr-themed spec instead because it does more damage.
They should just have been talents, not class fantasies.
And while I'm not the first to have this take, it is clearly spreading as folks look over the trees and consider their implications.
As friggin GameSpot put it : "While it feels like Hero Talents aren't nearly as impactful as Covenants were in Shadowlands, and are thankfully free to change or swap between at any moment, it does feel like the idea is fundamentally flawed and that new talents and unique class fantasies should be two separate things for players to choose."

And the priest tier set is literally naaru inspired.

I'm calling it now again: The Radiant Song will be from a Naaru, not the world soul. A special Naaru. Either E'lune or An'she/Mu'sha. Could all be one and the same.

You're pretending like this doesn't happen since day one.
Always wanted to hurl huge fireballs as a mage? Well too bad, frost does more damage this patch.
Here's an advice: stop being a meta slave and play whatever the fuck you like. If you can't, you have no right to complain.
