No CM sets I can sorta get even if I disagree with it, but no Legendary questline is such a puzzling choice. It's core to the story of Mists, there's no real reason to leave it out.

Given this is a limited time event I totally get not doing CM sets. One it has to be tuned and tested differently than MoP. Secondly, if they make it like the original where you had to unlock per class, completionists would go nuts.

Although I agree the lack of the legendary quest is strange. My only thought is maybe they are going to add a new one, that's maybe tied to Xal'atath instead of the original?

No Cloak Q line diminishes nothing for me. Gem and socket being early rewards is nothing, and we are promised many whacky and powerful abilities anyway. Raids are the main appeal of this mode, really.

It's more about experiencing the quest itself, less about the rewards.

How about recolors of the legion order hall set tho: Those were designed to be shiftier versions of the challenge mode armor anyway.

Yeah those were just the challenge mode armor with all the effects and frills removed.

I think the issue here is, they are trying to provide content with existing assets. They aren't really trying to retell the MoP story.

Also nothing special. Bunch of scenarios in already visited places that amounted to nothing in the end (Wrathion wanted to stop Legion by causing a nasty war on Azeroth). I think peeps have fond memories of this thing simply because it was the first time we had a legendary quest line through the entire expac.

Btw people are focused on Xal trying to capture the Old God essences. Maybe she is going to capture whatever remains of the Void Lord and World Soul in Telorgus?

I'd welcome an unexpected twist.

It is kind of farfetched that she went back in time to collect Galakrond's essence as a way to (presumably) claim the power of Yogg-Saron. I mean, all Yogg did was corrupt some water Galakrond drank from.

There's an old Hearthstone expansion called Descent of Dragons, in which Galakrond is the ultimate villain, and a powerful card 5 different classes can obtain and sort of... imbue with their typical class powers (fel, Shadow, etc). But Galakrond can also be upgraded twice, first to "Galakrond, Apocalypse," and then to "Galakrond, Azeroth's End".

There's even an Adventure add-on in the expansion called Galakrond's Awakening.

Imagine if all this is a way to bring back Galakrond after all, as a sort of world-eater.

Yes and rare stuff like Korkron Shaman set and Tusks. They also have recolors of the Shaman set so I assume there is more to come on that front as well.

They clarified that the original versions are also available. Basically everything that drops right now in Pandaria raids/OW/Dungeons is on the vendor in addition to recolors.

Where did they state that? The way I understood it is that only the new stuff is on the vendor, but you can also farm all the old stuff like Onyx Cloud Serpent normally if you want.

It is crucial to tell the story of the expansion and provided a lot of interactions with Wrathion. You are free to not care for it. I did it multiple times during MoP and enjoyed it every time.

Apparently. The bronze currency is both for upgrading gear & transmog appearances within remix. I think more currencies should work this way.

They are not super rare anymore since DF launch. They used to be 1 in 2000, now I think it's closer to typical 1 in 100.

Onyx Cloud Serpent even had that bug where Evokers had an absurdly high drop chance if you got in early, so I definitely see the appeal in ripping off the band-aid on that one.

Flightstones do in a way already work this way though. Upgrade an item from HC and you will also get the Mythic appearance as a reward.

Maybe.. I mean they showed the recolor of the challenge mode mount, but i think other stuff would be datamined by now sadly. :/

At least there are the other recolors from the throne of thunder pterrodax one. Which there only ever one of them was available.
We get like 4 colors versions or so.That's neat.

No they aren’t high elf’s any more then high elf's are night elf's.

Going to the rift just isn’t an issue to non void elf’s as the Npc’s and us going there our selfs during the unlock quest show.

I think it's because they literally don't have the files for it. Same as the Vale restriction.

I doubt they are going to admit this but because this isn't Mists Classic they don't have the resources and time to recreate the vale and the removed questline. Especially not for a limited event. Maybe if this comes back after Mists Classic is released...?

Maybe it would be too much effort to recreate, yeah. Items and gameplay effects are easier to make then digging up files and content that haven't been in the game for a decade now and implementing them properly.

Still, that makes the experience all the lesser. The questline wasn't the most amazing thing ever but it would have been nice for players who didn't play the xpack to see it.
