I’ve always thought Telogrus was part of K’aresh, makes the Ethereal connection make more sense imo.

Perhaps there’s some lingering essence of Dimensius there that she’ll try and capture. I think it could play out similarly to this:

Xal uses the essences of the old gods, dimensius, and the sunwell (probably corrupted) to fully restore/manifest Dimensius into the world.
Maybe the light crystal in the Arathi zone has something to do with it too since we know it is starting to turn to the void.

Pretty sure Telorgus is the remains of the world soul Sargeras found corrupted by the void and cleaved in half.

Maybe it would be too much effort to recreate, yeah. Items and gameplay effects are easier to make then digging up files and content that haven't been in the game for a decade now and implementing them properly.

Still, that makes the experience all the lesser. The questline wasn't the most amazing thing ever but it would have been nice for players who didn't play the xpack to see it.

It will be back, just in classic and not remix. But I can see them adding it to mists remix later if it comes back.

Don’t think that was ever officially confirmed, just speculated.

But they could also just be one in the same depending on how blizzard writes it.

I mean

Even shattered as it is, this place echoes with the whispers of the great ones who were slain... and the hatred of he who broke this world.

Obviously it is not confirmed; they even removed the mention of it in a Hearthstone interview because they want it to remain ambiguous. But it is very heavily hinted at. It would be weird for it to be K'aresh given that parts of K'aresh are still inhabited by the ethereals.

Nan they were physiological changed by the void just as high elfs were when they left Kalimdor.

It’s not the same as the high/blood elf political differences.

But really.. in the end they are technically all still thalassian elves. The void elves, aren't physically any different, they maintain the same build. They are more like Darkfallen. Slightly altered.

general build isn’t the only thing that can change and when looking at in game models it doesn’t actually tell us any thing as humans have 3 builds where one is even counted as a different race but they are all physiologically the same race.

As to actually differences void elfs have, different skin and hair tones are on par with the change from night to high elf, and I’d say growing tentacles or physically turning into a void spawn are far beyond losing some Hight/musical mass.

I expect Green and Golden eyes for the Alliance Elves, since a group of Blood Elves are part of the faction in Telogrus Rift.

For just the High Elves, I predict Tattoo customization options in Midnight to truly lean into the High Elf/Woodland Ranger fantasy, as the Wildhammer tattoos did for the Dwarves.

You know what fine, lets just say to make it easier to 'were'' high elves.

They all were high elves.

On a side note, With all these added customization options you can do; no tentacles, light skin etc. There is barely any difference.

For the High Elves, I expect braided hairstyle and wild tattoos to match Alleria:




I expect these additions to come in Midnight, as it will be an expansion centred entirely in a standard High-Fantasy Elven Woodland/Forest.

For the Void Elves side of the playable race, I expect more freaky and weird hairstyles with tentacles and whatever-else can relate to the Void.

They would also pair really well with Amani. But then they also seem to be going against faction races, unless they make them neutral (shitstorm) or they will see a return to some faction themes in TWS.

What would be fun is they add Amani, Belf and Helf druids that use the same models because they all hail from Eversong.

Now that I think of it-- it's odd that Void Elves get High Elf customizations to essentially be interchangeable to the player, but Draenei and Lightforged are split into 2 races. At some point they need to just go core race > sub race. Select your faction, select your core race, select your sub race based on faction availability.

Actually, almost everything the Void Elves got since SL was stuff for the High Elf fantasy.

Fair skin, blue eyes, blonde hair, tentacle toggle, etc.

Void Elves didn't really get any exclusive customization option that truly screams "VOID ELF FANTASY".

So I do expect more tentacle stuff going into Midnight.
